Harry Potter Vs. Twilight Question

The Host

Okay, so I've started reading the Host [not finished yet; no spoilers please!] and I've noticed a few things.
1. Seekers. Like the Quidditch players, huh?
2. Healers. I prefer St Mungo's healers.
3. Jared. Wasn't that the name of a guy in the wolf pack?
4. They called the souls 'Parasites.' [pg 179]. This is probably very minor, but isn't parasites also what the 'wolf' pack called the 'vampires?'
5. Hearing voices. Again! Well, at least it's better than Twilight's hearing voices, but. . .
'Hearing voices isn't a good sign, even in the wizarding world.'
So what do you think about all this?

I haven't read it yet BUT from what you've just said and from what I've heard from people that have, it's just a big rip off from other books. The entire plot itself (evil "parasitic" bugs taking over people's brains and some people fighting them) is a lot like the entire 60 some-odd book long plot of the Animorphs by KA Appelgate(evil "parasitic" bugs entering people's brains and over taking them in an attempt to over-take Earth) that came out in the 90's. Plus, I've heard that its boring.

I won't read it. Sorry, but I don't care for her writing very much and I like my books to be original, thank you very much.

I haven't read it either, but it sounds like another Mary sue type book with cliches, and rip offs. It dosent seem to have as much hate as Twilight, though. I highly dought I'll read it. After slogging through four Twilight books, I just don't think I can take anymore Stephanie Meyer.
