Harry Potter Vs. Twilight Question

So I was wondering about Eclipse...

I was reading this here question (link)

And some people said what they liked about Twilight was how some of the characters had history. And how some didn't fawn over Bella the minute she arrived at Forks.
So I remembered how all of the characters stories are spilled in Eclipse. [As far as I know.] Did you people like the fact the stories were told all in Eclipse? And if you did like it, then which of the stories is your favorite, and why? If you dislike it, then why do you dislike it, where do you think the stories should have been told, and which ones are you favorite, and for what reasons?

I didn't like that they were all told at one time. I think the stories should have been spanned out throughout the entire series. We learned about Carslile, Edward, Alice, Esme and Emmett in Twilight and about Rosalie and Jasper in Eclipse. And it wasn't like they were spanned out throughout the book[s]. They were all pretty much in the same chapter[s].

I liked Rosalie's the best. It gave us a look at the (reasonable, believable, historically inaccurate) reason as to why Rosalie was the giant bitch she was. She was actually developed and in a believable way.

True, true... I didn't like that they were in just two books either. Breaking Dawn was the worst, we found out about everything in Eclipse, and there was nothing else like a back story to keep us going in BD.

If you don't count the lack of research (supposedly her dad was a banker which is why the depresion didn't affect her family. Anybody car eto tell me why the depresion happened? Correct, the banks failed) it is a good story.

The lack of research is annoying. Otherwise it is a good story.

BD was one of the reasons I stopped liking Twilight, best :/ Not only was there no back story to keep it going, there wasn't much of a plot, either. @Hecate: It's a good story for when you don't want to actually think about what your reading.

I wish we'd found out more about Emmet.

Rosalie is my favorite, it shows why she is the way she is. I like Alice's too, excpet it would be nice to know who bit her.

Esme is just sad.

I personally did like the back stories. Especially Jasper's, I loved his. I liked it because we finally found out that he had a troubled past and he was trying to get over that. I like Rose's for the same reason, but Jasper's in my opinion was much more interesting.

Well, it is historically inaccurate, but instead of being a FAIL x 100, I guess it's a FAIL x 59.
