FOR TWILIGHT AND HARRY POTTER FANS!

For Twilight:

I read the book after watching the movie.
I like the book better because its like a never ending story. But, the movie its sort of hanging.

For Harry Potter:

I never read the books except one which is the Order Of The Phoenix. I didn't mind to finish it its because of its thickness. I agree the movie is better.

For HP I like the books better because they explain more and some of the movies are kind of scary to me.
For Twilight, I don't like either but if I had to choose I'd say the movie because at least Jacob is hot (that's pretty much the only good thing about twilight to me)

Harry Potter:
The books because there is more to them, and give you every little detail about Harry's world.

Twilight:
Even though the movies were very cheesy and laughable, I liked them better because
a) They were good entertainment
b) They had more of a plot to it by showing a scene with James and his buddies in the beginning of the movie.

Harry Potter: Books, definitely. The movies aren't bad, but they just don't go as deep into it as the books do.

Twilight (not a fan): Movies. They leave out(most of) the uneccesary details, so it's more interesting.

Ooh, ooh, and I did some research:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (book): 309 pages
SS movie: 152 minutes

Twilight (book): 498 pages
Twilight (movie): 121 minutes

So as you can see, Twilight the book was almost 200 pages longer than SS. And half an hour shorter. Because Twilight has hardly any plot!
(And yeah, yeah, I know font sizes in books may be different and all, but still . . .)

Harry Potter: The books, most definitely. The movies were good until David Yates took over them.

Twilight: This is a tough one, but I'd probably have to say the books as well. The books were an epic fail, but the movie (I haven't seen NM yet) was a gigantic epic fail. They spelt "Quileute" as "Quillayute" on the side of the bus! Not even Yates can top that for stupidity.

Books, for both. Always the books. Has the movie really Ever been better than the book? Nope.

I like the books for both. The movies will never have enough details or events that the books have. The books actually allow you to feel like you are in the different worlds with them. In movies, you just watch them and can't really feel a connection.

I like the Twilight books better. In my opinion the movies kind of sucked. Well the first one at least. The second one was better. The books are pretty much always better then the movies though.

That's tough. For the first three, I thought the movies did the books justice. But for four and five, I felt that the movies were better, because the books just dragged on and on...and nothing was really happening! It's like people stopped editing J.K. For six, I likee the book a whole lot better. In the movie, they kept adding scenes, and deleting some good ones.

for twilight definately the books cant stand the movies but with Harry potter books and movies i like equally

I cant really tell because I havent read the books because I dont even want to touch it. The movies on the other hand makes me so sleepy, I ended up saying this to myself during the NEW MOON movie: "C'mon, the movie is not over yet,.. The climax will take place any moment-- What?! its over?! damn.."

Harry Potter:

I like the books more.. :))

i enjoy the book more than the movie, because you can see what they are thinking, and that gives me a sense what type of person the character is, and i can imagine the scenes the way i want to, in a movie its made of some ones eleses imagination, and some times that bothers me because it ruins my picture and how i imagined a scene or person.

I´m a Harry Potter fan and I like the books more than the movies, too. Of course the movies are cool aswell, but how you´ve already said: good scenes are cut out or changed, you can´t exactly see the thoughts and feelings of the persons, things do not look like you imagined them, and so on.
But there´s one point that´s better in the movies: the background music ;)

For Harry Potter: The books. They go more in-depth and I can imagine everything the way I want.

For Twilight: Haven't seen the movies.

For both series, I prefer the books.

The first four Harry Potter books were the first novels I ever read. I was only six at the time, and I've been an avid reader ever since. Of course, the films never live up to the books, especially the ones directed by *shudder* Yates, but they're still good.

For Twilight, you have to make a hard decision. For some bizarre reason, I find Meyer's pill of a story easier to swallow as a crappy book than a horrid movie. Probably because I don't have to put up with the world's ugliest, untalented, ridiculously overpaid cast in the history of the universe. Oh, and bad effects. I am an ILM fangirl (you don't get much nerdier than that), so when I see special effects as terrible as the ones in Twilight, I want to throw up.

So yes, books pwn movies, even those as shockingly bad as Twilight.

i dont like twilight but i must admit that the book is better and for harry potter i love the book and the movie but the books are better the movie cuts out too much stuff

Harry Potter :
books, I read them before watching the movies and I didn`t like that some scens weren`t included (although I know it would make movie too long)

Twilight:
I also read books before watching Twilight movie, but I can say both are stupid
still, movie has some good music (muse, paramore)

Twilight:
The book. It sucked, but the part in the movie I saw was Bella saying "Where do you sleep?" or something, and Edward said "I don't sleep." I just walked back up to my desk and banged my head on it.

Harry Potter:
The book. Half of the movies was Hedwig flying around with the Harry Potter theme song.

twilight: the movies, they didnt last as long. (sorry but it's true)

HP: the books, sorry but the movies didn't live up to the books, but some of them are really good.

I definitely liked the books better, especially Eclipse.

The Twilight movie was overall good, I think they could possibly have done a better job here and there. But I still like it :)

The New Moon movie I must say was my least favorite. It felt like they rushed the story, some of the events in the film that weren't in the book sort of ruined the plot, and....I just didn't like it as much.

The Eclipse movie is so far my favorite, mainly because of the action, Riley, Bree, Bryce's Victoria, and (last but no where NEAR least) Rosalie Hale and her story. =)
I loved the movie due to those reasons.

I did wish that they gave viewers a deeper look into Rosalie's past, but...you take what you're given, I guess. :/

Harry Potter: The book. The Harry Potter movies suck, REALLY bad. The books are funny, they've got detail, they don't leave much out, and it's open for interpretation. It's an awesome piece of literature.

Twilight: The book. Why? Because the acting is horrible.
