How is "Dangerous Wreck" connected with Harper's Island?

We learn from the Harper's Globe episodes on You Tube that there is a fraternity whose members literally get branded on their left arm and then shout "In the bond!" after their initiation. They post on the Harper's Globe site as Dangerous Wreck. Cousin Ben Wellington I think was in this fraternity.

Sadly this show left too many questions unanwsered. They alluded to many interconnections (like Dangerous Wreck and that college fraternity and Henry's "bros" who came to his wedding) but it seemed like in the end it was only Henry and Wakefield in cahoots with one another. What a disappointment it was to me.
