De eerste roman voor volwassenen van Harry Potter-schrijfster J.K. Rowling wordt in Groot-Brittannië voor de televisie verfilmd. "A Casual Vacancy" ("Een goede raad") wordt vermoedelijk in 2014 uitgezonden, zo deelde de BBC maandag mee. Ze heeft steeds gemeend dat het boek het best voor televisie geschikt was, indien het ooit zou verfilmd worden, verklaarde Rowling.

Het sociaalkritische boek over een stadje in Engeland werd in september uitgegeven en zorgde meteen voor opzien, omdat het het eerste boek van Rowling was in vijf jaar. Met de reeks van zeven opeenvolgende boeken over tovenaarsleerling Harry Potter was de schrijfster wereldberoemd geworden. De Potter-boeken werden ook succesvol verfilmd. (Belga / KAV)
