Is GOT7\'s Jackson turning into an idol version of Yoo Jae Suk?

Starting on April 24 Jackson is joining new Chinese variety show \'

Sunday is Tasty\'. In the past, he appeared on the Chinese \'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator\' and impressed viewers with his smooth MC skills. As a result, he is now becoming an official MC of a new show in China.

Producers of the show complimented the idol as they said, "Jackson is gaining great love and attention from the Chinese public with his honest and energetic characteristics. China\'s best MC

 He Jiong also became a fan of Jackson who is pure and polite."

Jackson has also been active in Korea on shows such as \'

Inkigayo\', \'A Look at Myself\', and more. Expectations are high for the variety star in both Korea and China. Some even think that Jackson has the potential to become the idol version of Yoo Jae Suk.

Jackson sure does have great potential. Not only is he succeeding in music, but also on variety shows!

Actually Jackson may join many other Chinese programs too! He is going to be on Go Fridge Season 2 but he may also join Star Detective, Day Day Up (Up Idol 2), and Go Wardrobe! Thank you for making so many people laugh and smile! Jackson Fighting!!!

I get the same caring, kind sweetheart vibe from both guys, but of course Jackson isn\'t there yet. Jackson and YJS are both amazing guys, and they\'ll have their similarities and differences as they continue their careers. For now, the thing I love about them most is their pure intentions to help and care for others, but at the same time still being hilarious and a sweetheart.

I kind of fell in love with him after watching China version of Take Care of my Fridge and became IGOT because of him also. He really has a kind of charm and a lot of Chinese non-kpop fans even falls for him, but I wouldn\'t dump such high expectation on him.  He\'s my ultimate bias, I love him... but I also think you put such a big hat for his cute little head. He\'s just Jackson, don\'t put him with Yoo Jaesuk.

He\'s a great person, I became a fan of his back on Roommate. He loves to compliment people and make people feel good about themselves. He\'s obviously been studying YJS, and other people who know how to make people feel good. He\'s got a really bright future.

Of course Jackson isn\'t at Yoo Jae Suk\'s level yet, considering he only debuted 2 years ago, but he has SO much potential to be an amazing MC and entertainer in general. It helps that he\'s multi-talented (speaks 5 languages, dances, raps, sings, was an Olympic fencer, is freaking hilarious, etc.). It\'s amazing what he\'s already accomplished in such a short time. What\'s wonderful about both Jackson and Jae Suk is their ability to make people feel comfortable and at ease. Their positive attitudes are just contagious - there\'s a reason why Jackson has so many friends in the entertainment world, regardless of group, gender or age. Basically, these two make people happy wherever they go and that\'s what makes them special.

Tbh I feel like Jackson becoming an idol opened up greater opportunities for him. Not to say he should quit being an idol, but it\'s definitely given him a presence in the entertainment world and he\'s building on it well.

He wishes he could become more known as a singer or recognized as a composer in the future but as long as he\'s in JYPE he\'s going to do all other stuff beside what he really wants.

I saw your comment below. I don\'t think JYPE is so bad - if Jackson\'s songs weren\'t accepted, perhaps the songs offered (by other members) were better. Jackson may bias but I know it\'d be unfair to let him release a song in the album over another member if the other members song was better/ more polished. Jackson will probably try to polish up the songs he wrote that weren\'t put into the album and write others, and his writing will improve. Jackson also would be able to release music on his own; maybe using the JYPE studio but posting it online without advertisement. Other artists have done it. He\'s had a duo performance with Mark, where he sung. He seems to enjoy MCing, too. If Jackson really wants to leave, I suppose he will when his contract ends. If he really wants to terminate his contract early... well, JYPE seems to be more open to terminating artists\' contracts if they wish it, anyway.

We don\'t have to think about him leaving because his contract is 7 years long. And he lives GOT7. But it\'s true that he\'s often unfairly criticised. On a Chinese interview he says that it\'s common for him to hear from a JYPE staff that he\'s chubby and they suggest diet. When, let\'s be honest, there were idols under JYPE who weren\'t in a good shape at all and they weren\'t pressured to lose weight. When Jackson was sick and they finally decided to cancel his \'official schedules\' he was forced to film a MV for Fly on a windy airport. The way he\'s treated is often unfair.

*loves He was never praised for anything under JYPE. He was replaced when he was going to be the main guy in Stop Stop It MV. Often has to deal with the worst styling and hairstyles, had to film shows for 5 days in different countries this year when other members had few days of holidays.
