remeber back in S2, blair was still getting over chuck then all of SUDDEN she "relaized" that nate always been there for her and he was always they guy for her blah blah b;ah......
in the end of the season she faced her real feelings and stopped running from them and went back to chuck
well this whole dan thing feels the same for me she's just running way from her real feelings for because she knows that they stronger and bigger and riskier and dan seems like the safe choice no matter what happens between them wouldn't really truely hurts her because she's not giving herself completly when she was with nate or with dan unlike chuck she gives him her whole heart and that's a greater risk
i think she's just scared so she's running to something that's not complited

Dan is a distraction. Much like Nate was. She thought she loved them. And I'm not sure that she had feelings for Dan 'for a long time', it feels like yesterday when she would glady trash talk the Humphreys.
more like she did have feelings for Dan but was so caught up in the whole Chuck/Louis situation that all she saw him as was a really good friend. She didn't the time to think about how she felt about Dan at all. Her mind and body were all over the place.
Now that she was relieved from her marriage, she had time to think and truly evaluate her feelings and ended up choosing to give herself an opportunity to be with Dan.
Like Chuck said, Blair walked away from him, but this time it was different. This time she meant it.
I'm not even going to start on how dumb this is, Blair got back with Nate because of a combination of them having history together, she was broken and hurt desperately wanting and him just being there and the fact that he was with Vanessa at the time and I don't think Blair's feelings on Vanessa were ever much of a secret also because Nate was just so nice, calm, sane while she slowly and steadily fell for Dan and didn't even realize it for a while, it'd hurt her reputation to be with Dan so she also had no ulterior motive in that department at all.

I also love how everyone's now trying to delude themselves into thinking Dair's just a phase and that Chuck and Blair are still going to run away into a field of bunny's and rainbows and be together forever by attempting to draw random parralells from other things that happened that were always going to be nothing but a short phase that in actual fact aren't parralells whatsoever and in fact are not alike in the slightest, haha, delusional chario's are delusional.
I don't think it's the same. Nair came out of the blue in season 2. Dair was built up since season 4. They did'nt come as a suprise to me. Infact to me, they were built up since season 1. I saw their relationship coming since season 1. The first scene that gave me a hint, was in 1x04 when Dan chose to comfort Blair instead of Serena after her argument with Serena and told her about his mother. He did'nt even tell Serena, the girl he liked about his mother but he told Blair the girl he considered everything he hated about the UES. And why did he tell Blair about his mother?, because when he heard her arguing with Serena, he saw a differnt side of her, realised that he misunderstood her and sort of related to her. Due to their long build up, i don't think them getting together is like Nair s2.
Yes, the situations are quite similar, and I think the writers did this on purpose, which makes me believe that in the last couple of episodes of the season, Chuck and Blair will begin talking again and will scheme together (refering to the set pics we got, casino spoliers) and that will parallel with when they schemed against Georgina in Season 2. Everything always leads back to Chuck and Blair. This isnt the first time that Blair has had feelings for someone else (Dan, Nate, Louis, Marcus) and has told Chuck that she doesnt love him anymore. I think that Chair will either get together in the season fanale or be single.
^ If you really are with your great love, you wouldn't fall for anyone else. This just goes to show that Chair is more of a bad habit and a dysfunctional relationship. He has been her fallback guy, but it's not healthy and I wouldn't call it love.
