In Your Arms, Here I Lay – Chapter Two

“Waldorf, I need you to wake up. I know what I said and did earlier was wrong, but I…I…I love you, Blair. And I don’t know whether I’ll have the guts to tell you this later, but I do, Blair. I love you.” Tears fell down his cheek, as he held her hand in his, not letting go for a second.

“I love you too,” a weak voice replied from the bed.

He looked up, only to meet the eyes of the beautiful, but broken brunette, he loved. “Blair?”

She smiled. “I take it that you’re happy to see me, Bass.”

He chuckled, and removed a stray strand of hair from her face. “You know I am.” He stood up and took a seat next to her on the bed. Blair tried to adjust herself into a sitting position, only to wince at the pain of doing so. Chuck saw her wince and immediately, his face turned into one of guilt.

“What’s wrong?” she asked.

“This is all my fault,” he whispered.

Blair shook her head. “No, it’s not, Chuck. It’s my own fault. I should’ve watched where I was going.”

“That’s where you’re wrong, Blair. If I hadn’t gotten you dethroned; if I didn’t use Amanda to make Serena jealous, to make her become ‘Queen’ again, you wouldn’t even be here.”

Blair put her hand under his chin, lifting it so she could look into his eyes again. “Hey,” she cooed, “I don’t care about the title of ‘Queen B’; I just was hurt by you. I mean, I lost Serena, I lost you, I lost the stupid title, and I lost Marcus to that bitch-of-a-Duchess Beaton. Although, I really never cared about Marcus…”

“Wait,” he interrupted her. “You lost Marcus?”

She nodded.

“Why didn’t you tell me? The only reason I did all of that -this- was because of him. I wanted to hurt you that way you’d know how I felt –how I feel-, Blair. To lose something. I never meant for this to happen; I just wanted you to come back to me. I just wanted you. I wanted to be with you.”

Blair put a finger up to his mouth to silence him. “It doesn’t matter; that’s all in the past, Chuck. You have me now.”
He smiled a genuine smile.

“So?” Blair asked. “What are you waiting for? Isn’t this the part where you’re supposed to kiss me?”

Chuck smirked and did as he was offered, told - commanded, and he kissed her right then and there.

“I love you, Blair Cornelia Waldorf. Never, and I repeat, never forget that.”

She laughed. “And I love you too, Charles Bartholomew Bass. Always know that.”

They kissed once more...gently. Chuck knew how fragile Blair was. Especially, in the state she was in now. “I love you, I love you, I love you…” He kept telling her those three words, eight letters, until he stopped moments later, when they fell asleep in each other’s arms, on the hospital bed, knowing that they would both always remember this moment. Always and forever.

TBC.

A/N: Okay. So I told everyone I’d do some kind of flashback thing or something about what happened to Blair this chapter. Well, ummm, I didn’t exactly keep my promise, LOL. Sorry. *apologetic look* But I already started chapter three and I swear that you’ll find out what happened in the next chap! Anyway, I’d like to say thanks to all my lovely reviewers who reviewed the prologue and chapter one! Thanks!

P.S: Reviews are highly appreciated. :)

P.S.S: This story takes place between 2x04 & 2x05. Basically, after school (the day she's dethroned), Blair decides to visit Chuck at the palace and have a nice "chat" with him. Then things kinda - wait why am I telling you this, LOL? I guess now you'll have to figure out the rest when the next chapter's up.

You know you love me (I had to say it, ahha),

~XOXO~ Carrie

I have to be honest, I wasn't really excited for Gossip Girl's return. It didn't leave a huge impression last break, which was probably why this review took so long to post. They story-lines revolved around Chuck, Blair, Lily, Jenny, Serena and a few minor appearances from Dan and Rufus. I didn't expect much here, so basically anything that actually flowed enough for me to tolerate, was easily eaten up.

The main focal point for me was with Jenny and this 'drug' sequence. It surprises me how quickly Jenny could make a 'designer' top flawlessly. I don't understand why she hasn't channeled her...

Gossip Girl aspires to achieve a certain goal every time a new episode is aired. Here we had a self depressing Chuck, a misguided Serena, a sibling rivalry and thorn marriages. Now Gossip Girl has taken the road where the end would justify the means and all the other pieces before it could simply fall out of place, so long as everything ends in accordance with the script.

That is why we have characters poking in and out of episodes without any sort of development or back story as to how they claimed even a second of screen time. We also have characters falling in and out of love like a misused...

I am going to be frank from the beginning, I really do not like the direction the writers of Gossip Girl are going with this show. This episode bears no exception. I mean I really tried to find some interest in the new Vanessa Dan storyline, Blair's crazy obsession with the play and Jenny's experimenting stage, but I couldn't. I have accepted that Gossip Girl has found its way into this type of political drama and lost sight of why fans loved the series in the beginning. Yet for the past few weeks now, washed down writing has become frequent and honestly I could do without it.

Vanessa-Dan-Olivia...

Every once in a while, a celebrity comes along that has a distinctive "look," a hair or a clothing style that, in time, comes to be associated with them. Think Diane Keaton and pantsuits, Anna Wintour and her bob, Isabella Blow and her hats, Kriss Kross and their backwards pants, Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopez and her condom glasses, and so on. And now: Blake Lively and her boobs. Recently, the 21-year-old Gossip Girl actress has been lauded for her long, blond, charmingly wild hair, but the assets Lively flaunts most flamboyantly are not on her head: They're on her chest. Like on Saturday night, when...

The Headband Project, a campaign to bring back the fierce writing and characterization that has been sorely lacking from Gossip Girl for some time, especially for the female characters. The show has created some of the most interesting characters of our time, which is a major reason we got hooked on the show. But now it seems what made these characters great has been thrown out the window, and this bothers us immensely.

Blair, Serena and Jenny used to be the epitome of feminism but now, not only are they dumbed down, they're being treated as weaklings. That is the reason we chose this name for...
