I just think I need to get this out there. I am not doing this to be mean I am just stating what I have seen from the show thus far.
So I guess I'll start off with what I know best. Chair. The love story that has been going on since the very beginning. There is no way that anyone can argue that these two haven't had moments where they were just totally happy and in love. From the scene from Seventeen Candles where he tells her she is beautiful to the "I love too" scene from The Goodbye Gossip Girl as well as Blair giving Chuck the photograph in The Lost Boy. These too are obviously in love, I mean Chuck was going to propose to her in the last episode of season three and gets shot so the engagement ring he was going to give her wouldn't get stolen. Now I know both have made plenty of mistakes during their journey. From Chuck trying to get Blair to sleep with Jack and Blair having Chuck kiss a guy. But come on. What couple on Gossip Girl hasn't had their share of mistakes? Dan hooked up with Georgina (Sarah) when he was dating Serena, Nate slept with Serena while he was with Blair, and Serena going off with a married congressman. And even though they have made mistakes Blair has obviously forgiven Chuck for them and vice versa.
So now onto Dair.
First of all let me start off by saying that this pairing just started to be seen this season and neither seem to be all that attached to the other as of now. The reason for these two being together really is as a result of running into eachother and realizing that they actually have some common interests. Then after some banter and some cute scenes they decide to see if there is anything more. So Blair and Dan kiss, and after the kiss Blair leaves and hides out in her bed leaving Dan confused. But after Chuck, trying to help Blair because he thinks she's upset about her work, gets her job back. Then Chuck, after finding out about the kiss, uses some scheming to show Blair that Dan isn't and will never fit into their world. Which makes Blair tell Chuck that the kiss made her realize she wanted to be with him, not Dan. Then the next episode Blair decides to pretend to date Dan to get the prince to stay in New York. She basically uses Dan so she can get her "fairytale" back. And now (a bit of a spoiler, so if you don't like don't read on) the summary of the last episode of the season has Blair choosing between the Prince and the Dark Knight aka Chuck. Dan isn't even in the running. It seems to me that the writers had no intention of having this Dair storyline around for all that long. Just as a little experiment, not as this epic love. Maybe you Dair shippers need to stop using all the bad things that went into other couples to validate your ship and try to see if Dan and Blair are actually right for each other on their own accord.

So this came to me really randomly but I'm actually quite proud of it, which is strange because usually I think my writing is awful. Anyway please leave a comment and tell me if you like it.

Serena looked into his eyes and saw the pain he was trying to hide. Despite his evident happiness watching Blair being crowned, Serena knew that he should be her king and in her heart always would be, not Nate. Chuck had made her dreams come true in more ways than he could have ever imagined.

He had been the one to make her smile, not Nate. To look at her with such pure adoration, not Nate. But above everything,...

In June 2008 rumors surfaced about a possible spin-off based around the character Jenny Humphrey, based on the book series The It Girl, but Head Writer Josh Schwartz denied the claims, saying that there was nothing in development.[11]

According to Variety in December 2008, "The CW may utilize an episode of Gossip Girl later this year to test the spinoff waters. The TV spinoff would nonetheless likely center on one of the show's nine regular characters -- although there's always a chance a new character could be planted in the backdoor pilot." [3]

However, Warner Bros. released a statement later...

I didn't think I would ever say this, especially with what the writers had done with her. After a season and a half, I can safely say I liked her in the latest episode.

The scene where Penelope "gives" the Queen B title to Jenny, and Jenny was all "what the hell are you on about?" Yeah, that won it over for me.

Also there was the whole Jenny/Eric chemistry shining through. I feel like the writers wasted a good thing with Eric. They made him gay, and what now? He doesn't even have a decent storyline or romance. *sigh* But I digress.

So Yes. I, who took shots at the characterization of Jenny any...
