LOL, the two comments above me are my really old accounts. "An antivirus protects you from viruses." Wow, as if that was not obvious enough. A system can function completely fine without an antivirus, as an antivirus does not change how a system functions. However, no matter good you are with the internet, you can still get malware, so having an antivirus is recommended.
