@reyfan01 Having similar backgrounds don't cause romance. Ever hear the term, opposites attract? Also, Ryder was there for Marley through her bulimia, Jake wasn't! And did you notice that when Ryder kissed Marley he was the one to pull away, not her?

^ Agreed. Also Jake wasn't there for Marley on 1st episode because he didn't even know her then, on 2nd episode he seemed interested on her but he blew his chance, Ryder unlike was for her since their met, and he's still for her even she already have a boyfriend.

I hate to admit it... But Marley should be with Ryder... And I'm not saying this for Marley's sake, I'm saying it becasue Ryder deserves some happiness.

If ur talking opposites attract then marley is jakes opposite, bad boy and Sandra dee. And I just thought that was ironic that they had similar backgrounds. Ryder just so happened to be there at the right time to see marley in the bathroom. All he did was make her laugh and flirt with her. I want Ryder to b happy, just not with her

I'm agree mikfan9 I'm not a hug Marley fan anymore but Ryder deserves be happy with her, and she still deserves a guy who loves her and who never hurt her

Just because jake made a lame comment about getting laid and not knowing her favorite flower is not enough to say he's not good for her. They barely started going out as an official couple, how much is he suppose to know at this time? Jake never did it with her and he was cool with it. He's not that bad of a guy

I think she belongs with Jake. Sure, their romance is going to be complicated and full of bumps in the road but they'll be together at the end.
Ryder is sweet and clearly very in love with Marley but i don't think he's right for her...

@Sweetest66 I think she belongs with Ryder. Ryder listens to her, he knows who she is. If they were dating he WOULD take things slow, instead of getting them a hotel room!

I agree that he shouldn't have gotten them a hotel room, but let's face it, he's a guy. That's how a lot of them are! I see more chemistry with Marley and Jake, I don't see nearly as much with her and Ryder. I find Jarley more interesting. Just because he doesn't know as much about her as Ryder does, doesn't mean he won't learn more. They've just started dating and have a long time to get to know one another. :-) And I can't remember who pulled away first from the Ryley kiss, but if Marley didn't, I think it was because she was kind of shocked at Ryder planting one on her. That's just my take on it though. We'll just have to wait and see what the writers have planned! :-)

@Shannon1982 Yes, Jake and Marley did just start dating, but Ryder's known practically everything about her since the day they met.

Jake may be hot, he might have good intentions and everything but Rider is actually like really in love with her, he would treat her right, pay attention to details, be the cutest boyfriend ever.

I don't understand the love that Ryder gets. Yes he is a good guy and a friend but nothing more than that.

after I Do I still loved Jarley, I mean Jake was a great guy still just that he didn't know how to show it to Marley, but now after some episodes on season 5 Marley should stay with Ryder, I'm really hating what Jake's becoming :/
