Season one confusion.

In Season one, when Jim's mom & her boyfriend comes to stay, she sleeps in the guest room, and they mention that there are two guest rooms. (Melinda: I can't believe that you tried to put them in different rooms.) But later, Andrea comes to stay and sleeps on the couch. Anyone know why?
