season six, episode nine \'Battle of the Bastards\'.
The poor Starks. They have not had much luck in surviving over the six seasons of
when put up against other houses such as the Lannisters and the Boltons.
However, did we miss a vital clue to the eventual deaths of Ned, Catelyn, Robb and now Rickon all the way back in the first ever episode?
Reddit user NANA_Mic certainly thinks so, and has theorised the idea of \'Robert\'s Curse\'.
Game of Thrones star shoots down Sansa pregnancy theory
The idea stems from series opener \'Winter Is Coming\' during the greeting scene between King Robert Baratheon and the Starks in Winterfell.
When the now-deceased king goes over to the family, he touches each of the Starks who have since perished, and none of the ones who are still alive.
Did he unintentionally curse those members of the great Northern house? It is certainly plausible.
It may be a mere coincidence. After all, who knows if the living Starks will survive (though we certainly hope they do)?
Yet some fans have taken it to mean we will definitely see Arya, Sansa, Bran and Jon through to the end.
Additionally, Jon, who was not touched, did die once - though he was later brought back to life. However, the well-known R+L=J Jon Snow theory among fans could discount him and add weight to the Robert\'s Curse idea.
