Game of Thrones Golden Globes afterparty roundup! 

may not have won the award for Best TV Drama, but the cast and creators still managed to have a good time

last night at the Golden Globe Awards, and at the post-ceremony afterparties. The Globes are known for being a more laid-back, alcohol-soaked affair, compared to the Emmys or the Oscars, and the photos reflect that.

reports that the official HBO afterparty was held at the Hilton’s pool area and in the adjoining restaurant. They noted Emilia Clarke in attendance (the actress changed from a long black gown to a shorter party dress after the awards) and also spotted Sean Bean. One of

‘s reporters told Bean he was disappointed that Ned was killed so early in the series, and the actor reportedly replied, “Me, too.”

Also seen out and about last night at the parties were Nathalie Emmanuel, Natalie Dormer, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and more.

Meanwhile at the awards, Pedro Pascal was grateful for the coffee keeping him awake. Given how long the Golden Globes run, caffeine was probably a good call.

I just love Joanne Froggatt. Nice to see her there. Emilie’s dress is pretty. Natalie Dormer’s is not. And is it possible for her to try not to purse her lips anymore? It’s getting annoying.

I wasn’t a huge fan of Emilia’s red-carpet dress. It looked like she was in a set of widow’s weeds. The after-party one was gorgeous.

She’s not really pursing her lips. That’s just her mouth, it’s sort of loopsided.

I’m glad Emilia changed her dress, this one is elegant and sexy. And Missandei… I have never seen her look less than gorgeous. I enjoyed Natalie Dormer’s interview, she was cute and funny. I expect GOT actors are relieved when nobody asks them about Jon Snow dead or alive.

I would never guess, it just proves that love is blind. I fell in love with Missandei, really did, married with children, but contemplated dumping my family, joining Syrian refugees, getting in UK, and search for her to make her reciprocate my feelings. But now, I’m not that interested anymore. OK, OK, I could still dump my wife, but never, NEVER, the children.

That’s a rather small turnout from Game of Thrones. Though the Golden Globes don’t mean jack squat, they had much higher turnout rate from cast and crew in the previous 5 years.

Awesome. You have no idea how much I love Lagertha and Vikings. We have some options to look forward to until Game Of Thrones starts.

Sean Bean was there because he had a supporting role in The Martian, the best comedy of the year according to the HFPA (to be fair, while that classification is ridiculous, The Martian is very funny and a damn good movie nonetheless. As wins go, that one was far from the worst of the night, in my opinion).

So far, we have no credible evidence that Sean Bean filmed anything for Season 6. But we can always hope that something managed to slip past the spies …

The most important of Bran’s flashbacks will certainly be the Tower of Joy, and it doesn’t look as though Sean Bean will play Ned in that sequence (justifiably so – he’s far too old to convincingly play Ned in his twenties). However, I’m holding out hope that after the big secret is unveiled, we may get one final flashback to an older Ned at Winterfell, with Bean reprising his role. A version of the

“Let them grow up as brothers, with only love between them”

vision from Bran’s final ADWD chapter, if you will. That would be a far more suitable way for Bean to return to the show, and provide a nice emotional capstone for the season-long look back at Ned’s life before the events of the main series.

Another thing we agree on. .. I would have loved to see lagartha actress in thd role of asha nothing against gemma whelan i like her too …

Season 2 ender of vikings was one of the best episode I have watched…

Katheryn Winnick. I love her too for many reasons and she’s doing martial arts just like I do. My kinda of girl. I would love to see her on the show as Asha or for example one of the Wildlings. In the books Val would be my best guess for her and she looks the part.

Lagertha, Ragnar, Rollo and others. Just so many great characters. I have a weak spot for strong, independent female badass characters and yet you can see their vulnerability. Lagertha, Daeny, Arya, Rey, Eowyn just to name a few.

I’m realizing I should either re-watch the end of season 2, or at least read a summary. It’s been a while, and while I’m sure my memory will be jogged once I start in on season 3, I want to remind myself before watching, instead of my brain catching up as I’m watching.

I love Black Sails. Can’t wait. I liked the first couple seasons of Vikings but I lost interest around the middle of last season. Might try to catch up again although The Last Kingdom did a pretty good job of satiating my Viking needs.

I have watched 10 minutes of the first episode of Vikings and I already like Lagertha.

It was always about either martial arts or sports. I started when I was younger with Aikido for about 3 years thanks to dad. It was an easy decision. Then I found out about Wing Chun ( precisely Lok Yiu Wing Chun). It’s a good 15 years since I started it to learn it. I’m 26 now. Since I’m not the tallest, strongest guy, perfect for me and it really fit for what I was looking for.

If you ever watched Donnie Yen as Yip Man in the movies. Bruce Lee practiced it too and learned it from Yip Man for about 5 years and used parts of it to create another martial art, but later more on him. Generally used term is Wing Chun, but you might know it under different names such as Ving Tsun or Wing Tsun. I know some basic stuff thanks to my friends whos’s teaching Krav Maga or Eskrima also known as Kali or Arnis.

It was about 8 months ago. One of my friends took me to JKD lesson which brings me to Bruce Lee. He created this martial art called Jeet Kun Do, JKD or Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do. It mixes various things Bruce Lee learned and borrowed from styles such as Wing Chun, Jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, wrestling among others. That’s what I’m doing right now.

Very cool! I’m certainly familiar with the Tao of Jeet Kun Do, although I’ve never trained in that style.

To bring it back around to GoT, I know at least Jessica Henwick has some martial arts training. She trained in WuShu, at least for a while, which is what Pedro studied in preparation for his fight with the Mountain. It’s always made me wonder why they gave Nymeria the whip.

That’s what I’m saying, do people do that to their lips to be sexy or something?

GoT was only pushed back 12 days compared to Season 5’s premiere, but it has premiered as late as April 17th before, so this isn’t too bad. Thankfully it is still April.

I am! I’m fascinated by that time (I was a child, unaware of what was happening in the world) and somehow the title sounds so significant. I remember my parents buying vinyl disks. I became even more interested when I found out – from Nymeria Warrior Queen – about Scorsese’s and Birgitte Hjort Sorensen’s involvement in the show.
