Prince Charles Meets Jon Snow\'s Killer from

Turns out, Jon Snow\'s killer (one of them, anyway) is a pretty funny guy.

star Owen Teale – who plays Night\'s Watchman Alliser Thorne on the smash HBO series – had Prince Charles in stitches during a special performance at the prince\'s home in Wales Wednesday evening.

The Welsh star, 54, was performing some Shakespeare when he was ambushed by two drama students pretending to be starstruck

The pair, from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, then proceeded to take over and conduct a comedy skit of their own at the performance staged by Charles and his wife Camilla for about 60 guests.

Shortly after Teale had started a scene from

, the students broke in, started taking selfies with him and offered up a cookie – a Prince of Wales-branded Duchy Original – to great laughs.

"It\'s great to see young talent coming through and I was happy to be the fall guy, as it were," Teale told PEOPLE. "I\'ve been far more upstaged by far less talented people in my career."

Prince George and Princess Charlotte\'s grandpa, 66, could be seen laughing out loud and doubling up with giggles.

"He said to me, \'There was alot of rufty-tufty wasn\'t there?\' And I said, \'Yes, but you loved it.\' "

One of the second year students, Ross Foley, said afterward, "[Prince Charles] seems to be up for the bawdy humor." His sidekick James MacCallum, added, "It\'s been surreal. Just to be able to get the chance to do it here has been a privilege."

Fellow student actor Seren Vickers (whose role involved a racy costume and an "attack" on her male costars) said of chatting to the prince: "I felt I should apologize for beating up the men – and for being under-dressed. He said he enjoyed it. It\'s been joyous from the beginning of rehearsals to the end tonight."

Charles and Camilla were hosting the showcase evening of Music and Drama at Llwynywermod, the farmhouse they own about 195 miles west of London as part of their annual summer Wales Week, when they highlight culture, business and rural life in the country.

Earlier, the barn had been the venue for a kids\' tea party benefitting hospice and hosted by Camilla, but for the evening event it had been transformed with candles and purple lighting to create a glittering touch. Nesting starlings could be heard chirping in the barn\'s rafters above.

The scene was so magical, even Jon Snow might have cracked a smile.
