Arya Stark Has ‘No Where Else To Go’ In This New ‘Game Of Thrones’ Clip
Plus, Maisie Williams talks about why she\'s avoided the \'Game of Thrones\' books.
Not today — unless today, you’re looking for a new look at “Game of Thrones” season five. In which case, the God of Death has your hook up! And by God of Death, we mean Jimmy Kimmel Live. The talk show premiered a brand-new clip from the next season of “Thrones” last night, thanks to star Maisie Williams appearing as a guest. Appropriately enough, it’s all about Arya’s upcoming exploits through Braavos.

In the clip, Arya, still wearing her ragged Westeros wardrobe, approaches a kindly man who stands in a black-and-white doorway. “Valar morghulis,” she tells him, assuming that everybody in Braavos stands up straight and reacts the same to such a greeting. When the man doesn’t move an inch, Arya fishes for the trusty coin that earned her passage to Braavos, and name-drops the shape-shifting assassin Jaqen H’ghar.
“No one here by that name,” the man replies. Arya insists that she needs this man’s help; she has nowhere else to go. “You have
else to go,” he says, before slamming the door in her face.
And scene. What the Seven Hells is happening in Arya’s world, you ask? Well, anyone who has read the books knows exactly what Arya’s up to. But Maisie Williams isn’t one of those people — she certainly knows what’s happening with Arya, given that she’s, you know,
, but she told Jimmy Kimmel that she actively avoids reading the books.

“I know roughly what happens. I ask a lot of people, and I google it,” she said. “The show kind of abbreviates what’s in the books, and I worry about if I have the whole story in my head, I’ll get confused about what’s in the show and what’s not. I’d get excited for things they wouldn’t put in, and vice versa.”
Looks like Maisie joins the chorus of folks who won’t mind that “Game of Thrones” is going to spoil the ending for book readers, then!
