Game of Thrones Question

Who should have made the soundtracks if Ramin Djawadi wasn't an option?

My first choice would be Hanz Zimmer, who is a genius... I wouldn't want Howard Shore - I'm afraid that might sound too much like the LOTR soundtracks.

If you don't know who Hans Zimmer is you can see his greatest hits here:

(He has made some music to Inception, The Last Samurai and Pirates of The Caribbean...)

If not Hans Zimmer I would choose David Arkenstone. Here's some of his work:

Who would you want if you couldn't pick Hans Zimmer?

Adrian von Ziegler could also be good.

Bear McCreary, who's composed the music for the reimagined Battlestar Galactica, as well as The Walking Dead, Defiance, and a couple of other shows.

Some of Djawadi's music for Dany reminds me of McCreary's BSG work... probably the combination of Middle Eastern instruments and poundy drums. :)
