Mmm...steak. Actually you really can't go wrong with most of the cuts on this list. I just love the fat marbling of a good rib-eye. Steak and frites baby!

It was a close call between the rib-eye and the Porterhouse for me. I like the Porterhouse because you get two distinct muscles - a cut of the tenderloin and nice beefy top loin. I chose rib eye for the auxiliary meat on it - the spinalis dorsi muscle that has the greatest beefiness while being soft and tender and always heavily marbled.

Oh, and a filet mignon is not a chateaubriand. Filet is cut from the small end of the tenderloin and the chateaubriand is cut from the large end of the tenderloin. Both are lovely if just seared. Mmmm... beef.

ok, I don't understand these names apart from rib-eye and filet mignon!

which is sirloin? And which is rump steak? hmm... anyway for the record sirloin, rib-eye and rump are my 3 favourites :)

I'm sorry maybeastarbucks, I figured since the poor thing was is kinda hamburgeresque it was a bit "lowly" compared to the non-chopped steaks. But hey, if it floats your boat, more power to you!

On the rare side with blue cheese on top.

I find rump steak more tender and tastier than t-bone. I do like filet mignon and rib-eye but our meat has risen drastically here and it's almost unaffordable to buy a good cut of meat.

As long as it's cow, I don't care!

Mmmmm... I've only had filet mignon once (too pricey!) but it was THE most delicious thing I've ever eaten.

Rare (very rare...almost mooing rare) cooked to perfection by a chef. Not much better than that!
