You could also go the Microsoft route with Microsoft Security Essentials. I have only used it on one computer and it worked very well.

you would be better off going with a subscription based anti virus such as norton

But if not then Microsoft Security Essentials is a brilliant free version, only thing is that you must have genuine Windows installed on your PC
