I've thought about this too much. Inara would win because she could easily distract Jayne with her "feminine charms" and take him out while he was drooling. lol Also, I think Jayne would underestimate her/not take her seriously enough.

I know, initially, I was thinking Jayne-no contest, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that Inara can easily manipulate Jayne. I mean, he's not the brightest and she is an expert at sexuality... so sorry, Jayne, but you're going down! ;D

Picking Jayne was a quick knee-jerk reaction to the question. I was like 'Well errmm obviously Jayne!' But your right the more I think the more Inara makes sense! She would completely outsmart him with ease!

Yeh Inara could manipulate Jayne but in an actual hand to hand combat situation - fight to the death...lol i think Jayne would win.

That's what I'm talking about! All it would take is one moment of distraction on Jayne's part (easily achieved by a flash of cleavage) and Inara would slip in and stab him. And she'd know just where to stab too! Hit an artery and he'd bleed out in moments.

And if Jayne was drunk even slightly, which seems kinda likely, then she would be in with even more of a chance of survival!.

Thats kind of a situational question, isn't it. I suppose if Inara sensed they would have an all out brawl she could seduce and knock out Jayne. Jayne isn't bright enough to know that not all women, especially Inara, are attracted to him. When it comes to brains, Inara. When it comes to brawn, Jayne.

I guess it really does depend on what you mean by fight. In a fight, like an argument, I think there's no question who would win; the one with a brain. However, if you mean the kind of fight where they were both hellbent on killing each other, once again, is there even a question about who would win?

definitely Inara she's smart while Jayne on the other hand would probably just get sedated again...
