Do you think it's messed up that Finnick chose ANNIE?

I love Finnick and Annie. I love how Finnick chose someone for their personality, and not by looks. I love Finnick's vulnerability for Annie, and I love them together.
They're my favorite couple in the whole series.

Annie is only "weird" as you say because she has been through the Hunger Games-- she saw her own district partner DIE, and then she won because of the flood and she was the only one that could swim.
Every victor has gone kind of mental in their own way after the Games-- Finnick wasn't the same either, and Haymitch we all know. Katniss too, the Games impacted her so much.

So, no, I don't think it's "messed up."
I think it's meant to be.

Finnick and Annie are just so perfect together-- you have the handsome, "arrogant" boy, and the ordinary girl-- they've both been through the hunger games, so they've both experienced it.

Katniss said that nobody who saw them could doubt that they were in love. I think that is something that we should all hope to have, and is not at all messed up. Finnick mentored her for her games, which means that he knew her before she went a little crazy, He is decent enough, and loves her enough, not to drop her because she has some issues, issues that he should completely understand.
Plus, it is not like she completely lost her mind. She is sane enough to decide if she wants to get married and have a kid, and was sane enough to vote against making the capitol kids pay for their parents crimes.

Well...she is A LITTLE strange to me but she has some GOOD reasons...wouldn't you be messed up if you went through the games? Wouldn't you be messed up if you watched the LOVE OF YOUR LIFE die in front of your face? I would die of sadness if I was in her position...Yes, i LOVE Finnick but Annie is good for him. You got a SUPER SWEET and yet kind of arrogant (in a funny way) 24 year old HANDSOME boy dating a small town District 4 girl. They are great for each other. They are my FAVORITE couple in the series. He is (was) willing to do ANYTHING for her. She is a lucky girl. And better yet, they loved each other SO much. I mean, come on...the Capital used him and he STILL remained loyal to Annie after all of that. I sit in my bed feeling sorry for him every night! President Snow is an EVIL man to do that to him. Staying together after all of that is TRUE love and they deserve to be together. I love him but Annie is good for him...actually she is great for him...If he loves her, I love her.

I started really respecting Finnick when I found out he liked Annie because it shows that even the most superior, arrogant, and popular people can prove themselves just as equal as those below them. I found it considerate and sweet :D

Oh, of course. After all, it's not like she suffered any trama that caused her to lose a little sanity. Yeah, all "weird" people deserve to be alone.. She's so unworthy of someone who deeply cares about her.

..Alright, in all seriousness. No, I don't think it's messed up. It's one of the few relationships I could get into in the series. Finnick has his own taste, who are we to question it? It's not like every person has generic views on what they want in a person- we're all different, people want different things. I love the fact that Collins didn't make Finnick the typical hot guy who only seeked preppy, beautiful women of superficial entitlement.
