The first stages of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele's romance have begun, and we have pictures to prove it.
E! News has exclusively learned that Jamie Dornan and Anastasia Steele filmed the Fifty Shades of Grey bike scene, the moment they first fell in love with each other, today in Vancouver.
For those who don't remember this passage from E.L. James' erotic novel, it's when the two are walking down the street and Christian is being playful with Anastasia and proceeds to almost kiss her.
Steele, after being teased with finally getting an embrace, walks away angry (because who wouldn't be?!),...

What began as a story inspired by a piece of Twilight fan-fiction, then turned into a best-selling eBook dubbed “mommy porn” by The New York Times, has now become a hot property in Hollywood.

Fifty Shades of Grey, written by E.L. James, is about the sexual escapades of two twenty-year olds. Originally posted online as a riff on the Twilight fan-fiction series Masters of the Universe, the story soon got picked up as an eBook, spawned two sequels and sold over a quarter of a million copies online. It’ll be published as a paperback later this year and, according to reports, the author and...

I’ll admit it. Java could not wait to talk to E. L. “Erica” James, that naughty English author whose “Fifty Shades” trilogy about Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele is burning up the bestseller lists these days! (I am up to Book 3, which by the way has a partial story line that takes place in Hamden, CT??? but the Kindle died and I have to wait for it to recharge to find out what that is all about.)

Funny, unassuming and genuinely perplexed at all the political hullabaloo about her salacious story line, the 40-something-year-old James is a married...

In case there was any doubt about the blockbuster success of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy by E L James, the numbers are in: more than 10 million copies of the books have been sold in the United States in six weeks, the publisher said on Tuesday, putting the books among some of the best-selling series in modern publishing.

“The sales velocity for ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ is unprecedented, with reader demand still growing,” Anthony Chirico, the president of the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group, said in a statement. “As we head into the heart of the...

ubscribers will receive a slightly steamier cover featuring our exclusive story on Fifty Shades of Grey, the massively successful erotic novel that has everyone talking, if perhaps only in hushed tones.)

Copies of Fifty Shades of Grey have been flying off shelves and into the hands of millions of women — and possibly tens of men. EW has the first Stateside interview with press-shy author E L James (that’s a nom de plume, by the way), as well as the full story behind how the sexy novel went from unpolished Twilight-inspired fan fiction to a full-on phenomenon.

From her perspective, creating...

The blonde actress was spotted shooting in Vancouver, Canada on Monday

Eloise Mumford was spotted shooting some of her first scenes for her role in the hugely hyped Fifty Shades of Grey movie on Monday.

It was announced last month that the American TV actress has been cast as Anastasia Steele's roommate, Kate, in the upcoming film. While the 27-year-old will be sharing scenes with her on screen BFF, played by Dakota Johnson, on Monday she was spotted shooting without the lead actress as she filmed in Vancouver, Canada.

In a purple jumper and with her hair tied back, the actress was seen inside...

To women wondering which position to assume while enjoying the pornographic runaway best-seller Fifty Shades of Grey, here's what I'd recommend: Sit in a thrumming bus or subway car and read E L James' indefatigable sex story on an e-reader, cradling the instrument with one hand while stroking the touchscreen to turn pages with the other. Odds are, other anonymous readers will surreptitiously be doing the very same thing. And if so, odds are also that each woman is in a state of arousal, amusement, or, at the very least, amazement at the ingenuity...

One of the things Hollywood scouts are buzzing about coming off the holidays is, surprisingly, an erotica series by a British TV executive which has garnered strong word-of-mouth via GoodReads and other fan sites. An insider said the series, called Fifty Shades of Grey (which is also the title of the first book), is "being compared to Nine and a Half Weeks" and is making the rounds among producers in Los Angeles. Author E.L. James published the books without an agent through a small former writers community called The Writer's Coffee Shop, and told PW she has sold approximately 30,000 copies...

EXCLUSIVE: Ending the wildest book-to-movie auction in recent and distant memory, Universal Pictures and Focus Features have acquired screen rights to E.L. James’ steamy novel Fifty Shades Of Grey. Focus Features will market and distribute the film in partnership with Universal, whose co-chairman Donna Langley heavily pursued the book.

I’d heard that 10 studio chiefs sweat it out all weekend to get the rights to this book about a 21-year-old college student who starts a relationship with a late-20s wealthy and handsome entrepreneur who...
