Fanpop is for fun

Fanpop is supposed to be a fun place for people to share their ideas, ask questions and find out about some information, but lately fanpop is just used for people to like you or for you to be the best.

I know everybody likes being good and having lots of fans but that's not the point of fanpop.Infact one person even did a pick that said do you like me!

I also have seen that their have been alot of arguments over fanpop in alot of spots which is ruining it for everyone.

Hello fellow Fanpoppers!

Just wanted to alert you to some recent changes made on Fanpop as well as a few things that have been on the site for the last couple of weeks that we hadn't necessarily announced officially.

New Navigation Bar
We've changed the navigation bar across the top of the site. You'll see a couple of new links up there: inbox and updates. Hopefully this will allow people faster, one-click access to two of the more popular profile pages on Fanpop. You'll also notice that a global Fanpop search has been added to the top navigation. how to and how not to advertise your spot

okay straight down to buisness, frankly I dislike picks saying "will you join this spot" or messages from people advertising sites and spots. If people have a real interest in the spot they will find it themselves, same goes for websites but i understand that there's no point to a spot if your the only member and you have no one to talk about your passion with and since we're all one big fanpop family the more of us the merrier a spot generally is, so rather than whining about it i have decided to offer up some solutions.
