Hip-hip-hooray! Wow- I had just hit 20 fans and I am so excited. I have been "fanpoping" since last June and frankly at first I joined fanpop just to get to watch some videos of my favorite shows. In the beginning I don't think I even paid attention to whatever was going on with the web-site- videos were the only thing that mattered. I suppose some people do join just for that. But the more time I spend on this web-site the more cool things, that others like Youtube lack, I have found. I definitely loved the format of the profiles- the spots arrangement, the updates, the how many things you rated count...It's creative and original- something that I haven't found in a long time. Then there were picks- I honestly thought that they were a waste of time until I made my own and read the comments that people made to it- I felt warmth in my heart. There are images of sometimes pretty cool art or even some digitally impaired pictures. There is this soapbox in which I am writing right now. And there props that I think are seriously a very cool thing because some people do really deserve them.
I don’t know- the more I spend time on this web-site the better it gets. For some reason it doesn’t get boring and somehow it makes me feel like I am contributing to it. Having my first 20 fans made me feel even more appreciation for Fanpop, for people that I am fans of, for those who are fans of me, and for those who post these videos that they don’t have to post.
I guess I am an amateur; fanpoping fan of free videos and all but when I hit 20 fans I felt much more connected I guess with this site. To the magic number of 20 and to much more fans to come!
