Okay, for the past two months I have steadily grown addicted to this website. Maybe it's all the free time I have these days, or maybe it's just I have an addictive personaily. It could of course be that this website is pure brilliance and I constantly think about it. Does that make me sad? No way! Because I can bet I'm not the only one. So here's a checklist of how to know when you've crossed the line between fanpop-addict, and totally-crazy. :)
1. You form an opinion on something and think "I'm going to immediately make a pick about this"...and then the rest of your plan for the day goes out of the window because you have to get the images just right.
2. Similarly, you find the need to constantly take a vote on everything. "Ok, who wants to change the channel on the TV? Right, now does anyone want to add a comment to their vote?"
3. You rate things at home. People's new hairstyles, work you've done, meals that people cook, every episode of things you see on TV...
4. You start to use "I'm a fan of..." in everyday conversation way too much. "You know, I'm a real fan of peanut-butter and salt-and-vinegar crisp sandwiches... I wonder if there's a spot on it..."
5. You give the people around you imaginary props for random things. "Grandma, you make the best chocolate-chip cookies ever. Props for the cookies"
6. You actually wonder what your fanpop fans are up to in realworld, and you consider them some of your best friends. You actually ask all your real-world friends what their motto is, because most of your fanpop-friends have them, why the hell shouldn't they?
7. You have answered every single pick on your fan-spots, and continue to re-load them just to check if the balance has changed. If your vote isn't winning, you feel actual anger that you take out on your keyboard by determedly typing an opinion-comment on the pick explaining just why YOU'RE RIGHT. :)
8. When someone gives you props, or adds you to their fanlist, votes for you on a favourite-users pick, comments your picks etc - you're happy for the rest of the day, even if your house just burned down or you've just killed someone or something...
9. You read an article in a magazine/newspaper and you want to comment and rate it, forgetting of course that not all articles are soapbox, and you can't actually do it. You then feel very upset :(
10. You remain throuroughly convinced that fanpop WILL become the biggest thing ever, and reccomend the website to everyone you know. You envision a time in the future when everyone is as crazy about fandoms as you are, and your friends will stop hitting you around the head and saying "If you mention fanpop one more time I will throw you through the window"
...and I've only been here two months. God help people who've been here longer!

I am not here to lecture you yet again on photo crediting. I am done with that.
I am way past the lecturing and into downright grrrrrr-ville.
You already know full well that taking something you did not create and not giving full credit to the owner is theft. Your excuses mostly boil down to laziness at this point.
So.
This is my public notice that any and all images with no credit to the original owner of the image will be rated harshly no matter how great the picture is... or how much I normally like you.
Additionally, if there is a blatant Copyright notice right there on the damn picture and you still failed to credit the owner, I'm reporting it to Fanpop -and- notifying the owner of the image that you stole it.
Enough is enough.

A few minutes ago I thought of a partial answer to the recent outbreak of internet trolls we've had over the last few moths.
Ladies and Gentlepoppers, I introduce to you:
The ATSOF (The Anti Troll Squad Of Fanpop)
This will be a society of fanpoppers who work together to justly rate any content which has (without reason) been rated low.
My plan is to make an ATSOF Spot; if a spot or particular piece of content has been rated low you can alert the ATSOF spot about this and some of the "fans" of the spot will head over to the content and rate the content fairly, therefore boosting the rating.
Please tell me what you think; I don't want to create a Ghost-Spot-to-be

If we make a new spot we want to make it popular. Recently I made a new spot so when I wanted to send a message to all my friends about it I got tired of typing individual messages so I quit. So we should be able to send one message to all our friends at the same time if necessary. Also there should be an area that says "new spots" on the home page so that people can see what has been recently created and if they want to join the particular spot. It would really make the people who created the spots happy because they could get some good publicity.
By the way I made a new spot about Kal Penn, the indian guy from the van wilder movies, Harold and Kumar go to white castle, and Epic Movie.
So if u like those movies check it out. all you have to do is type "Kal Penn" in the search engine" (obviously, I know)
Also this soapbox was ment for the fanpop spot

Hello to everyone,
my name is Inès, and I'm French.
As a lot of you know, Paris has been attacked yesterday by terrorists. The concert hall "Le Bataclan" has been attacked during a concert.
128 dead and more than 200 wounded are for now counted. This is a tragedy.
I was born and I've lived in Paris, and I often go there and to the Bataclan to attend concerts, and seeing this, is just awful. The whole country is shocked and desperate.
3 national days of mourning have been declared.
I invite you to leave a few words, thoughts for the victims of this disaster.
Thank you <3
