Why people just don't fan any posted content on Fanpop anymore like they used to, also how come only a few people take Fanpop quizzes these days?

Maybe it is not as popular as it once was but i still appreciate all the content that is added. I love going through the upcoming clubs just to see if people are involved. And there are many clubs that remain active.

I know I'm still new here but I think it has a lot to do with this whole medal system on Fanpop. Most people are just jealous so they don't fan anything to prevent somebody else from getting a medal. I fan everything that I like when I see it but I can't fan the entire Fanpop by myself.There are too many clubs even for a Superboy! As for the quizzes, apart from a reason I already mention (jealousy over medals), I think most people who used to take all those quizzes are no longer on Fanpop, some of them may not even be on this world any more and some people are just too old now to take a quiz now! Those who are still here don't care that much for quizzes any more. Maybe they just got tired of all those quizzes all over Fanpop after all those years and some people just don't know the right answers so they don't want to take quizzes any more. Some people are even too cheap (too picky) even when it comes to giving props to other users these days or even to like a comment on somebody's wall. They are just jealous, that's all. Some people they stop giving props completely! Nobody likes anything any more and I think it's just sad! Anyway, that is what I think. Even if I'm only 1 month on Fanpop, I think those are the real reasons why people don't fan stuff any more and also why only a small group of us take quizzes now. I take quizzes, I even make quiz questions and I fan a lot of stuff but even a Superboy can't fan everything and I can only fan things once. One fan, one vote! I wish more people would fan things and take quizzes. It would be much more fun and much better for everyone and people would even get some medals for their contributions to all those clubs on Fanpop.

Good question. I'm new here, but I think there are hardly any active people here? Though I see people uploading images, they don't seem to check contents and participate in club activites. There are dead forums everywhere. Perhaps, I suppose it's because of the gold they earn...They only post contents for the gold and leave, not caring about the club at all.

Because the active population isn't really alot of people anymore? More people joining that simply don't care about the clubs? Fanpop is actually very empty and the fan numbers are deceiving af. There's not 21,518 fans that visit this club every day. If you look in the count there's tons of inactive users. But since they joined once. Their name is still counted. Even back then fanpop wasn't that buzzing. Nowadays it's even worse so it's what you see and you get.

I mean if you look at your activity and how often alot of clubs get updated. You'll find this conclusion is common sense.

It's because the site is dead in general.

Well, I try to post as much as I can but I think that since people don't see their stuff being fanned or even know it's getting attention they may figure 'why bother?' and just not post particularly if the club doesn't have much activity. I mean I might be wrong but that's always been my theory.

Fanpop just seems less active in general. People post new content but don't always react to the contributions of others. A cynical part of me sometimes wonders if some members deliberately not fan content, so that their own looks better in comparison.

However, I do also think that the content which has 10 or more fans has been here for years, and has been earning those fans over that years. Maybe it just takes time for anything to become popular.
