No, I don't think like you. For starters, I really couldn't care less about medals. If I get one, I get one. If I don't, I don't. I'm much more into the conversations and such that happen on spots.

Secondly, it doesn't just matter how much you post, it also matters how people see it. If you post quality stuff that people really like, you're more likely to get a medal. If you post random stuff just for the sake of adding, you're less likely to get a medal. Also, there's more to medals than just adding pictures and videos. Partaking in discussions, answering questions, commenting; all that counts too.

For the red medals (fanatic) you really have to work. In my opinion they should have it. For total drama island I answered laods of quiz questions, added pics, and picks of which is better and stuff and got the die-hard medal (yellow) Then I have 2 dedicateds (green) for two clubs that I added so much stuff to its unreal. I should have die-hards for those ones.

Well as I have have from others! it doesn't matter how much thing u add in a club! it maters how many people sees it, saves it in favourie and fans them!

Look, medals don't matter. If you're a good Fanpopper, you'll just come by them naturally.

I can see why you may feel a certain way about this, but let me just say that there are a lot of people on here who abuse the medal system. Like they ask a ton of people to fan their stuff, they post a lot of useless stuff, etc.

And in reference to your friend with the Die-Hard....Fanatics are pretty hard to get. From what I've seen, it take a lot more to get one of those.

So to answer your original question-no, I don't think like you.

Yes, it makes me mad if I see blatant Medal Whoring, like if I see someone begging people to fan their stuff, or adding lots of useless crap to a spot, but I think Fanpop does a pretty darn good job in general, and it's not like they could prevent Medal Whoring.
so no, I don't think Fanpop is unfair. They're doing the best they can, just accept that. If you think you can do better, start your own website.

The number of fanned pics, videos and links count, not only the number of them ADDED. Besides the number of comments under each contribution counts, too. Or in quizzes: the number of people who answered them.

And the medals are given automatically by the system, so it just can't be unfair, it's the same to all users.

I assume that her pics or videos must be fanned at least 10 times each to make her get red medal.
