Fanpop Question

Why is giving your images a proper title important?

I'm trying to explain that bulk uploading and naming everything "XD" isn't the right wat to go. especially in a vs spot and some of the pictures are on different subjects, but i can't think of the right way to explain it clearly.

You should let them read this great article called link written by cliff. That should explain it clear enough. If they still don't get it after that, at least you tried your best.

Good luck!

Would you name your children "xD" "lol" "..." ?
No? Then don't do it to pictures.

The most logical reason I can think of is searching. When you search for an image, the word you typed is filtered through both keywords and titles. No one is going to think to search for a particular image with "XD" as a search term.

A proper title is more interesting then "XD"
Nobody would search for "XD". Would they?

EXAMPLE:
I would call this pic "Kyouya loves his yarn". Not "cute!"
