How long does a "temporary suspension" last?

this site is run by 4 people and there are millions of users. ya think they have time to write a letter to everyone? "dahling, we dont tell other users to jump off a cliff tis why we had to suspend you...."

"We?" I highly doubt that you are involved in the suspension of users if this site is only run by 4 people. If you are involved, then I can only shake my head at you. Running a site takes effort, you can't do your job halfway. Most users don't intentionally cause problems on sites, so how do you expect to fix any unintentional problem by punishing someone. The correct way to handle such a problem is to inform the user their mistake. The problem however, is that you misuse your authority, and don't help users and the suspended user is left wondering what he did wrong. How can you expect users to respect you when you don't respect the individual user?
