I used to have a record player and a pretty big collection of records. But I had to get rid of them when I moved...and I've never gone back.

^So was I! :D But I was still listening to records when I was in high school. I listened to cassettes and cds too though. Most of my cassettes and records I 'inherited' from my siblings and parents.

I claimed my parents LP player and all their Beatle records. I like it, very old school. Plus, it looks great in my dorm room (I'm 20).

My very first album was a vinyl.

of course and I still have alot of vinyl, I have some classics on 45.

That's great Vixie79: what was it? I don't recall my first album, but it was a cassette. I do remember that my first record was Underworld's "Underneath the Radar", but that was years later.

germany123: do you find that your experience is typical among the Germans you know? Most of the Germans I know personally are much older than you, but it wouldn't surprise me that your experience is fairly typical in this regard. The CD was launched in Berlin, after all.

I must admit I still go looking for them at garage sales, the cover art on the albums is worth it sometimes alone.

I think the last vinyl i had was Nirvanas Sliver ,my first was probably a Kylie or Jason lol
