Like the last poll but this time the writer isn't indifferent nor portraying the dark thing as a bad thing, but instead it's portrayed positively.

Fics that discuss themes like torture, substance abuse, self harm, murder, rape, suicide, metal illness etc. like they are good things. Like the person talks positively of self-harm or kidnapping, you're supposed to like the person doing the torturing, etc.

Personally, I can't handle that kind of stuff but I also believe that you can't stop a person from writing what they want either, that's not fair. And as long as they're not actually doing it I don't care, they can write all they want just don't make me read it!

Personally I wouldn't write something like that either but I'm mostly okay with other's writing it. I strongly believe in free speech and the ability to write whatever one wants to write. I mean it's only fiction. The one exception would be if someone was trying to glorify

child rape or something of the sort. I just can't fathom anyone trying to make something like that out to be positive, even in fiction. Other than that, have at it, I guess. I may not agree with the theme at all, but as you said, you can't really stop a person either.
