There were people rushing about everywhere but I could distinguish the difference between my vampire family and my werewolf family but the almost invisible flashes of light and the more slow galloping thuds of my werewolf’s footsteps. Kate stood in the middle of Alice’s massive bathroom whilst Rose, Alice, Mum, Tanya and I all applied her makeup, pulled her hair up into an elegant bun and literally made every surface of her body look even more beautiful than usual- which is extremely hard with a vampire. Esme was busy with the decorations downstairs with a band of helpers and everyone else was just making everything perfect and collecting other guests.
“I can’t believe this is happening!” Kate squealed trying to turn her head towards me, but Alice had it locked in her arms whilst she and Rose worked on her extremely elaborate hairstyle.
“There,” Alice said in a satisfied tone as she twirled Kate round, “you look beautiful Kate, and the wedding is about to start so we need to get in place,” she finished looking up at the clock. I followed her eyes and was shocked to see that we only had five minutes until it was time for Kate to become a Mrs. My hair and make up had been done at 6am this morning and my dress had been slipped on about a half hour ago so all I needed to do now was to grab my bouquet of flowers and wait for the music to start.
It was fifteen minuets later when I sat down on my velvet chair next to Jacob. All of the bridesmaids had walked down the aisle in front of Kate and Eleazar and we had been silently greeted by the rows of people eagerly looking for the bride- I knew most of them but some faces were unfamiliar. Kate looked stunning as she walked down the aisle, her arm locked in Eleazar’s a huge smile spread across her face. As she met Garret he took her hands in his as the vows started. Slowly I let my mind slip into thought.
April 13th, it was a special day for me. It had been ever since I was fourteen, I know it wasn’t that long ago but since I am now forever frozen at sixteen. It had been a beautiful spring day and Jake had suggested that we go for a walk. It was sunny so none of my vampire family could accompany us, it was just Jake and I. It was perfect. We ran to First Beach and just sat their for a while, we had just returned to Forks, their had been a terrible fire there a year ago and only some new families had returned as all of the other houses were long gone and people just decided to relocate- with some help of Jaspers talent- and the only people who stayed were the ones who were in on the secret. Jake and I had walked for about and hour hand in hand, he had always been there for me, always taking me to my dance lessons or just being there talk to me when I was having a bad day. Jake just lived for my happiness and I lived for his. I loved him and I told him that sunny afternoon of April 13th.
“Jake, I love you.” I had said,
“And I love you Nessie,” he replied, but I had felt him go ridged beside me.

“Jake you know that’s not what I meant, I love you in more ways than friendship,” I had whispered, I remembered how my heart was pounding in my chest.
“Nessie, you’re so young it’s sick,” he had answered turning to face me,
“Don’t give me that Jake,” I muttered snuggling into his chest.
“Just give it time Renesmee, please.” He was calling me Renesmee; he only did that when something was important, and so I decided to give up. For now. As I had released my hold of him he pulled me back under his arm and I knew that he had feelings for me too, he just wanted me to have a shot at being normal. He did what he did for the right reasons, and I’m glad that he did.
“I do,” the sharp clear words of Kate’s voice broke me out of my memories. The vows were almost over, I had been so caught up in my thoughts I had missed it.
“I didn’t know you felt that way about that day,” Jake whispered, smirking. Oh crap, I forgot I had been holding his hand, he had seen it all. I could send my thoughts through any part of someone’s body now and it was proving to be a bit annoying.
“Man, I need to stop holding your hand,” I replied in a hushed tone as Kate and Garret walked back up the aisle. I took hold of his hand as the rest of the congregation stood up in applause. We all made our way to the dance floor in the garden. As a slow song started Kate and Garret waltzed onto the dance floor, I fished in Jacobs’s pocket for my camera and starting snapping feverishly along with about twenty other women. When the song ended the rest of the crowd melted onto the dance floor. I noticed mum and dad kind of rotating in a small circle obviously having a conversation whilst Alice and Jasper whirled around them laughing. Suddenly everything went wrong, I smelt it first then all the bodies around me picked out the familiar scent as well. It was the newborns. How could this happen today, it was the wedding for goodness sakes!
Everyone jumped into action within an eighteenth of a second.
“Get her inside Jacob!” dad yelled, “Emmet, Jasper, Garret, Eleazar and Carlisle come with me.” He said looking around the tent.
“NO,” I cried, taking a step back as Jacob tried to pick me up, “I’m coming with you, its safer if we all fight, we out number them totally!” I continued, taking yet another step back only to be caught by Jasper who grabbed my elbows and smiled down at me apologetically.
“Then you wont mind sitting out,” Dad said, raising his eyebrows. Why did they always have to treat me like I was a baby- okay I was only half vampire but I had proved that I was very nearly as strong and fast as them.
“Look I am coming, they are out there now and we are wasting time fighting; JUST LET ME FIGHT!” I wailed, breaking out of Jasper’s cage and storming over to where dad and Jake were standing.
“Nessie, its okay!” dad said as Jake pulled me into his chest,
“I know you’re over protective but mum has always told me you were the most laid back person you have ever met.” I moaned,
“Nessie, I couldn’t bear to loose you, and anyway I was young and immature the. I know how your dad felt.” Jake whispered hugging me closer.
“I think that we should all go, it is safer for Nessie if she is with all of us to protect her; and she’s right, we outnumber them.” Mum said reaching up to put a hand on dads shoulder.
“Thank you,” I knew that these words were true, I really meant it. I couldn’t bear not knowing what was happening- who was getting hurt- whilst I sat back at home, going insane.
“We need to go now, before the Volturi get there.” Carlisle said not meeting my gaze, knowing my fear of the Volturi.

We were all running through the forest when it came to mind that Alice should have seen this happening. I turned to Carlisle who was running at the front with Dad, mum, Jake and I, to ask him.
“Carlisle, I am worried about Alice; she should have seen this. Is it possible for her to loose her powers?” I asked,
“Don’t worry Nessie, I don’t think she is loosing her powers but then again anything is possible our existence proves that. I think that these newborns are more powerful than we think, they have been told about her powers and are using it against her- it happened before with Victoria- they know that she will only be looking for certain things and with the wedding today she wasn’t looking for anything. But like I said, don’t worry Nessie.” He said with a smile. Carlisle was one of my favorite people, my family was very strange; although Carlisle was actually my grandpa and Emmet my uncle and so on it was like I had loads of dads, it was the same with the women. Liked it like that, it was special.
As we continued running south east of the house we caught their scent, it was strong and fresh. They were less than a mile of; as we changed direction to follow the scent I noticed my dad nod at someone’s silent question. All of a sudden I was running not at the front of the formation but in the middle of a more circular one. I didn’t protest but inch by inch moved myself closer to Jacob who was still at the front. I knew that as soon as we got near the danger I would be engulfed back into the circle, but I wanted to be with Jacob for as long as possible; my Jacob.
Zoey walked into a bakery and put down a pile of flyers on the desk.
“Do you know this man?” a customer read. It was a teenage girl. She looked up. “No, I do not. Is he a convict? Or is he missing?”
“He’s not missing” Zoey said. “He lives in my house. And as far as being a convict, let’s say it’s still undecided”
“Who is he?” the girl asked. She picked up a flyer. “Mind if I take one of these?”
Zoey shook her head. “Maybe you could help”
“Sure, anything you want” the girl said and she and Zoey left the bakery.
“Thanks” Zoey said.
“You haven’t answered...

Anna and Kevin were in the building Zoey had kept Cas hostage. It was sealed and trespassing would be penalized, but human laws didn’t exactly apply to the angel and the prophet.
“You have the tablets” Anna concluded.
“Not all of them” Kevin corrected her. “Just the most valuable once”
“I have to say you’re quite of an actor” Anna said, with some admiration in her voice.
“It wasn’t all acting” Kevin replied. “In the beginning I thought Crowley really meant the best for me. I believed him when he said he was looking out for my mother. But then I wanted to see her...

Dean stared at his car, his mouth wide open, unable to speak.
“What?” he said shocked. “Baby, what have they done to you?”
“Dean” Sam said, elbowing him and pointing at the entrance of the hospital. Meg came outside and walked towards.
“I saw you two from the window” she explained.
“Why are you wearing Cas’ clothes?” Sam asked.
“Long story” Meg replied.
“And what the hell did you and Cas do with my car?” Dean demanded to know, though part of him wished she wouldn’t answer. Unfortunately she did.
“We fucked” Meg said smug. The look on Dean’s face was priceless. “And Cas bled on the front seat. Speaking of Cas, he’s fine. Thanks for asking”
Dean had the courtesy to look ashamed.
“Eh, yeah, I just wanted to ask” he mumbled.
“Follow me” Meg said. “I’ll explain everything inside”
The next room was filled with fragments of mirrors and the closest fragment had something written on it. Cas made a step forwards and squeezed his eyes to read the tiny letters. It said: ‘Use the reflections in the fragments to find the two tablets.
“Great. Piece of cake” Cas mumbled sarcastic.
The fragments were very close to each other and so Cas lifted his left arm to protects his face, while the fragments cut in his sides, his shoulders, his legs, his arms and his chest.
He stopped after a few yards and carefully put his arm down. He examined the fragments around him, trying not to...

The next room had some kind of pool with dark blue water and Meg had to cross the water to reach the door on the other side. She looked around to find Kevin’s message. She found it on the wall, next to the door. She read it and shivered. The tablets were hidden at the bottom of the pool. Meg could swim, that wasn’t the problem. But the water would probably be ice cold and you could bet there was going to be something in the water, ready to attack her.
However, since she didn’t have any time to waste, she stretched her arms and dived into the water. She was right; the water was ice cold....

The room was pitch dark.
“Meg?” Cas called, though he knew better. He touched for the wall and tried to let his eyes get used to the darkness.
Then suddenly a flash blinded his eyes and he shut them. The darkness returned and Cas opened his eyes.
“You’re not going to find what you’re looking for, with your eyes closed” a voice whispered. Cas understood he had to keep his eyes open at all cost and so when the next flash of light came he tried to keep his eyes open.
The light remained for about five seconds and Cas saw something rectangle and dark on the ground. When the lights disappeared...

Butterfield Park.
Night had replaced the day and the only light came from a Ferris wheel, standing in the middle of the park, next to the swimming pool. At the top of the Ferris wheel some of the chairs were removed, just enough to make room for a human body.
Meg was tied up on the rails, facing the starless sky. Kevin had grabbed her and taken her here, while Balthazar put something on the Ferris wheel. Something slippery. So, even if Cas came to her rescue, he’d hit the bottom of the wheel before he’d reach the top and then Meg would be stuck there, until she starved to death or died from...

Jo and Meg were in Cas’ room, packing Cas’ bags. Meg threw all his stuff in the bags, but Jo pulled them out again.
“You have to fold them or they’ll never fit in” Jo reproached her. Actually she was just trying to buy some time. “You know, I really thought something was going on between the two of you”
“Why? Because we both turned human at the same time? I hate him for that” Meg replied.
“I think you just hate the fact that you can’t shut off your emotions now” Jo said wisely.
“Why are you doing this? I killed you and your mom. Why are you trying to help me?” Meg...

Jo caught Meg sitting on the rest room floor, her head on her knees. Jo had never thought it possible, but for a moment she took pity on the former demon.
Meg looked up the moment Jo made a step towards her.
“Who was that?” Jo asked, referring to the other blonde girl.
“Some chick who thinks she has all the answers to all the questions” Meg answered while she got up, using the wall as support. She frowned and lay her hand on her side. Kevin had hit her on the exact same spot he had attacked her with the angel powers.
“You okay? You need a doctor?” Jo asked.
Meg shook her head. “No,...

Bonnie was waiting in the woods. Caroline had called her to meet her there. Bonnie looked around nervous. This reminded her a lot of when Katherine had lured her to the ruins of Fell’s Church, pretending to be Elena. But since Caroline didn’t have a doppelganger Bonnie figured she didn’t have much to worry.
“Hey” Caroline called as she came her way.
“Hi” Bonnie replied sober. “What’s the urgency? Why did you want to meet me here?”
Caroline noticed a little hostility in Bonnie’s voice.
“What, I need a reason to meet my best friend?” she avoided the question. Bonnie maintained...

Rachel paced through her cell, trying to figure out how to get out. Of course that wouldn’t be a problem once the moon was full. Iron bars really wouldn’t hold her back. She could only hope that by that time the building was empty and there would be no…overachievers left. That or she could hope for a miracle.
She got the latter in the shape of…
“Stefan” Rachel sighed.
“You don’t sound too happy to see me” Stefan noticed. “I didn’t realize you were so comfy in here. You know what, I’m just going to go, so you can continue making yourself at home”
He started turning around,...

Rachel was sitting at the kitchen table, drinking a cup of tea, to calm herself down a little. Since the events of the previous night she had been very jumpy. She expected Damon Salvatore to show up out of nowhere and rip her heart, just like he’d done with her daughter. So when the bell rang she let out a scream and spilled some tea.
“Mrs. Lindy? I know you’re home” Stefan called from outside. “I just want to talk”
Rachel stood and walked to the door. She opened it.
“Good morning. I’m Stefan Salvatore” Stefan introduced himself politely.
“You’re the vampire that turned...

“Nice dress” a familiar, male and British voice whispered in Caroline’s ear. She startled, but recovered quickly. She tried to spot Damon and Elena, but since they were nowhere to be found, she took a deep breath and turned around.
“What do you want?” she asked sharp.
“Well, first I would like to know why you’re not wearing the dress I sent you” Klaus said.
“You sent? Wait, you gave me the dress with the note?” Caroline asked surprised.
“Of course” Klaus answered. “You didn’t think Tyler has that good of taste, did you?”
“Oh, well, ehm, I couldn’t wear it anyway”...

Stefan and Katherine glared at each other, not sure what to do now, but Damon made it easy for them.
“Get out” he said trembling.
“Damon, I didn’t know” Katherine started. “I swear I didn’t know”
“Just go away, Katherine” Damon said. “You, too, Stefan” he said without looking at his brother.
Stefan vowed his hands and made a step towards Damon. “I really thought you knew. And I really didn’t mean to let it happen. All I know is that Rebekah gave her blood to Elena and that I couldn’t interfere. If I could’ve, I would’ve, you know that” he pleaded.
Katherine looked...

Caroline took her books she needed for the next few classes and closed her locker. Elena leaned against the lockers and looked at her. She saw the red underneath Caroline’s eyes. “Hey, have you been crying?”
Caroline shook her head. “No” she said with a small voice. She swallowed and forced a smile. She sighed and looked at her friend. “No” she repeated a little steadier. “I saw Tyler at the Grill today”
“Oh” Elena blinked. “And how was he? Did he tell you what happened?”
Caroline shook her head again. “Not exactly. He…said it’s none of my business what he does...

Back in Hell, Cas could barely keep his eyes open, but each time he was about to lose conscious the demon made another cut in his already mutilated upper body.
While the demon enjoyed his assignment Meg tried to free herself. Her wrists were pierced with hooks and they hurt terribly, but she figured if Cas could handle her pain and his own, she would be able to get through this.
“You’re so awfully quiet, Cassie” the demon said. “Why so asocial?”
The demon pierced the sword in Cas’ side, looking provocative at the angel. “Come on, scream or cry, I don’t care”
Cas looked up with...

Twilight took over the day. Bonnie was in Caroline’s room. She was lucky her friend had been so kind to offer her a place to stay now that her house was ruined. Bonnie had tried to call Elena, but the line had been busy all day. She just wanted a chance to say she was sorry, but she realized at this point it was too much to ask.
So when her phone rang and she saw it was Elena calling she hastily picked up. “Elena?”
“Bonnie, are you alone?”
“Yes” Bonnie said. “Elena, I’m so glad you called. I’ve tried to reach you, but you were busy. Anyway, that doesn’t matter. I just want...

Tyler was walking in the Grill with two beers in his hand to Caroline. Matt was standing at the pool table with a billiard cue in his hand, staring at Caroline. But when Caroline waved he pretended not to see her and continued his game.
“What’s the deal with you two?” Tyler asked when he got to Caroline and gave her a beer.
“Honestly? I have no idea” Caroline sighed. “He broke up with me, because of all that was going on, but lately he’s been giving me mixed signals. Or maybe I’m just crazy”
Tyler looked at Matt, but he ignored him as well.
“Do you want him to want you back?”...
