Jeremy ran to the backdoor, which was the closest from the basement. He opened it and limped outside.
Veronica was furious. She hysterically banged the door and screamed for Jeremy to let her out. She conjured her phone and dialed a number.
“Jack, I’m in trouble. Jeremy locked me up in Rachel’s basement. You have to come here”
Jack said something back.
“Oh, right, of course. You’re busy” Veronica nodded. “The window…No, I didn’t think about that. Okay, I have to hang. Thanks for the tip, Jack” She hung up and walked to the window. She caught a glimpse of Jeremy’s legs and opened the window. She pulled herself up and crawled outside the window. She hurried to her car and unlocked it. The key was still in the ignition and her crossbow lay in the backseat. She started the car and drove full speed ahead.
Jeremy heard a car, but could only assume it was Veronica coming after him and so he picked up the pace.
Nevertheless Veronica overhauled him and she parked the car in front of him. She grabbed her crossbow and got out.
Jeremy still tried to get away, when for the second time he felt an arrow piercing through his skin. He fell down and Veronica walked towards him. This time she’d hit him in his shoulder. She ducked, grabbed his shoulders and dragged him to her car. She opened the trunk and put Jeremy inside. She closed the trunk and locked it.

The sun fell on Amber’s face and she woke up by the heat of it. She rubbed her eyes, trying to orientate, as she saw a man sitting next to her. He looked familiar. As she tried to recall she felt an insistent pain in her neck. She lay her hand on it, to see what it was. “I bit you, that’s why you’re in pain” Stefan explained. Amber looked at him. “Who are you?” she asked, crawling backwards. Stefan reached out his hand. “I’m here to help you” he said softly. Amber shook her head. “No, stay away from me!” she said terrified. Stefan didn’t move an inch. “You need help. You’re in transition, it’s not a nice feeling if you don’t feed anytime soon. I bet you’re starving” he said. Amber shook her head heavily as her stomach rattled. “I’m going home” she said with a breaking voice. “Leave me alone!” She scribbled up and staggered away from Stefan.
Zoey woke up in a hospital bed. She wasn’t happy to be there. Crowley had taken away her angel powers and she was completely human again.
She walked to the door and opened it. She came face to face with a guardian.
“Miss Allen, where are you going?” the guardian asked.
“What is this?” Zoey frowned. “Why is there police guarding my room?”
“I’m just following orders, Miss Allen” the guardian answered. “My boss has a few questions for you”
“Then I guess you should call him” Zoey said and she walked back into her room.
She walked to the window and opened it. Her room was on ground floor, so she didn’t have to climb that deep. She swung her leg over the edge, followed by her other leg. She jumped and landed on the pavers. She turned around and ran away.
