The basement door opened and Rachel looked up. Gabe was coming downstairs with a plate of food in his hands. “I made you some dinner” he said as if he expected Rachel to be grateful. He put the plate on a box and gave her a plastic fork and knife. “I’m only playing it safe” he said when Rachel gave him a dirty look.
“You can’t do this” Rachel said.
“You’re really such a hypocrite” Gabe said. “You let me send away my daughters, when you are just like them. Does this mean Amber had the werewolf gene? Well, in that case she’s better off dead”
Rachel gasped. “I can’t believe you actually said that”
“You wanted her to suffer every full moon? You wanted her to hunt in a pack?” Gabe said sarcastic. “Finish your dinner”
He walked back to the stairs and climbed up, but halfway he felt a firm grip on his ankle. Next moment he landed with his face on the stairs. As he groaned and tried to get up again Rachel ran past him. Gabe scribbled up and stumbled upstairs. He grabbed Rachel and they both fell down the stairs again.
“Ahh, okay, time out” Gabe said. Rachel didn’t answer. Gabe looked down at his wife’s lifeless body. “Rachel, don’t be stupid”
But Rachel still didn’t answer.
“Damn it” Gabe mumbled. He looked around agitated. He had to find something to cover her in. While he searched for it he heard something break. He lifted up his head. Rachel grabbed his hair, pulled his head backwards and cut his throat with a piece of the plate she had broken. As blood spilled over his throat and clothes Gabe dropped on the basement floor, his eyes fixated on Rachel.
Mrs. Allen was sitting on a bench next to Daphne, her arm thrown around her. Daphne was crying incessantly and Mrs. Allen was trying to console her.
“I’m so sorry you had to hear that, sweetheart” she said soft.
“I don’t understand” Daphne sobbed. “Why would he do this to me? I thought he loved me. I took care of him, without questioning him. I stood up for him, I believed in him. What does that slut have that I don’t?”
“Nothing, sweetheart, absolutely nothing” Mrs. Allen said. “Emmanuel is a fool not to see all the beauty that’s in you”
“I hope he rots in hell”...

Zoey was still lying in bed when Alexia jumped on the bed. “Wake up, mom! You have to get ready!” she said excited while she jumped up and down on the bed.
“Go away” Zoey muttered and she pulled the sheets over her head.
Alexia let herself fall on the bed and lifted up the sheet so she could see her mother’s face. “Did you forget about the wedding?” she asked reproachful.
“No” Zoey said. “We’re just not going”
“But we have to go. Aunty Daphne will be so sad if we don’t” Alexia said a little upset.
“Aunty Daphne doesn’t like mommy very much right now” Zoey...

Andy and his friends were sitting in a bar. There was no one but them. Andy was holding his phone in his hands and looked from Lincoln to Justin. “You guys really want to do this?”
Lincoln waved with his taped hand and shot Andy an angry look.
“I’ll take that as a yes” Andy said and he dialed a number.
At Daphne’s house the phone started ringing. Cas, who was still awake, lifted his head. He had heard this sound before and he had seen how Daphne or Zoey had responded to it. There was absolutely nothing to it. And so he walked toward the ringing object and picked up the horn.
“Hello?”...

Zoey walked into a bakery and put down a pile of flyers on the desk.
“Do you know this man?” a customer read. It was a teenage girl. She looked up. “No, I do not. Is he a convict? Or is he missing?”
“He’s not missing” Zoey said. “He lives in my house. And as far as being a convict, let’s say it’s still undecided”
“Who is he?” the girl asked. She picked up a flyer. “Mind if I take one of these?”
Zoey shook her head. “Maybe you could help”
“Sure, anything you want” the girl said and she and Zoey left the bakery.
“Thanks” Zoey said.
“You haven’t answered...

Anna and Kevin were in the building Zoey had kept Cas hostage. It was sealed and trespassing would be penalized, but human laws didn’t exactly apply to the angel and the prophet.
“You have the tablets” Anna concluded.
“Not all of them” Kevin corrected her. “Just the most valuable once”
“I have to say you’re quite of an actor” Anna said, with some admiration in her voice.
“It wasn’t all acting” Kevin replied. “In the beginning I thought Crowley really meant the best for me. I believed him when he said he was looking out for my mother. But then I wanted to see her...

Dean stared at his car, his mouth wide open, unable to speak.
“What?” he said shocked. “Baby, what have they done to you?”
“Dean” Sam said, elbowing him and pointing at the entrance of the hospital. Meg came outside and walked towards.
“I saw you two from the window” she explained.
“Why are you wearing Cas’ clothes?” Sam asked.
“Long story” Meg replied.
“And what the hell did you and Cas do with my car?” Dean demanded to know, though part of him wished she wouldn’t answer. Unfortunately she did.
“We fucked” Meg said smug. The look on Dean’s face was priceless. “And Cas bled on the front seat. Speaking of Cas, he’s fine. Thanks for asking”
Dean had the courtesy to look ashamed.
“Eh, yeah, I just wanted to ask” he mumbled.
“Follow me” Meg said. “I’ll explain everything inside”
The next room was filled with fragments of mirrors and the closest fragment had something written on it. Cas made a step forwards and squeezed his eyes to read the tiny letters. It said: ‘Use the reflections in the fragments to find the two tablets.
“Great. Piece of cake” Cas mumbled sarcastic.
The fragments were very close to each other and so Cas lifted his left arm to protects his face, while the fragments cut in his sides, his shoulders, his legs, his arms and his chest.
He stopped after a few yards and carefully put his arm down. He examined the fragments around him, trying not to...

The next room had some kind of pool with dark blue water and Meg had to cross the water to reach the door on the other side. She looked around to find Kevin’s message. She found it on the wall, next to the door. She read it and shivered. The tablets were hidden at the bottom of the pool. Meg could swim, that wasn’t the problem. But the water would probably be ice cold and you could bet there was going to be something in the water, ready to attack her.
However, since she didn’t have any time to waste, she stretched her arms and dived into the water. She was right; the water was ice cold....

The room was pitch dark.
“Meg?” Cas called, though he knew better. He touched for the wall and tried to let his eyes get used to the darkness.
Then suddenly a flash blinded his eyes and he shut them. The darkness returned and Cas opened his eyes.
“You’re not going to find what you’re looking for, with your eyes closed” a voice whispered. Cas understood he had to keep his eyes open at all cost and so when the next flash of light came he tried to keep his eyes open.
The light remained for about five seconds and Cas saw something rectangle and dark on the ground. When the lights disappeared...

Butterfield Park.
Night had replaced the day and the only light came from a Ferris wheel, standing in the middle of the park, next to the swimming pool. At the top of the Ferris wheel some of the chairs were removed, just enough to make room for a human body.
Meg was tied up on the rails, facing the starless sky. Kevin had grabbed her and taken her here, while Balthazar put something on the Ferris wheel. Something slippery. So, even if Cas came to her rescue, he’d hit the bottom of the wheel before he’d reach the top and then Meg would be stuck there, until she starved to death or died from...

Jo and Meg were in Cas’ room, packing Cas’ bags. Meg threw all his stuff in the bags, but Jo pulled them out again.
“You have to fold them or they’ll never fit in” Jo reproached her. Actually she was just trying to buy some time. “You know, I really thought something was going on between the two of you”
“Why? Because we both turned human at the same time? I hate him for that” Meg replied.
“I think you just hate the fact that you can’t shut off your emotions now” Jo said wisely.
“Why are you doing this? I killed you and your mom. Why are you trying to help me?” Meg...

Jo caught Meg sitting on the rest room floor, her head on her knees. Jo had never thought it possible, but for a moment she took pity on the former demon.
Meg looked up the moment Jo made a step towards her.
“Who was that?” Jo asked, referring to the other blonde girl.
“Some chick who thinks she has all the answers to all the questions” Meg answered while she got up, using the wall as support. She frowned and lay her hand on her side. Kevin had hit her on the exact same spot he had attacked her with the angel powers.
“You okay? You need a doctor?” Jo asked.
Meg shook her head. “No,...

OK, let me just get this out now, I am NOT a vampire, I want to be, I wish I was but I am not. Well not yet anyway. I can tell you my story so far. My life. I can’t promise that it was the best life ever lived, actually it was bad, horrible and just down right crap, and I’m only 12. My life got better eventually though and when I have given you all my past information then you can choose if you want to live the rest of my life with me or not. My name is Caitlyn Aimee Mailan...

Bonnie was waiting in the woods. Caroline had called her to meet her there. Bonnie looked around nervous. This reminded her a lot of when Katherine had lured her to the ruins of Fell’s Church, pretending to be Elena. But since Caroline didn’t have a doppelganger Bonnie figured she didn’t have much to worry.
“Hey” Caroline called as she came her way.
“Hi” Bonnie replied sober. “What’s the urgency? Why did you want to meet me here?”
Caroline noticed a little hostility in Bonnie’s voice.
“What, I need a reason to meet my best friend?” she avoided the question. Bonnie maintained...

Rachel paced through her cell, trying to figure out how to get out. Of course that wouldn’t be a problem once the moon was full. Iron bars really wouldn’t hold her back. She could only hope that by that time the building was empty and there would be no…overachievers left. That or she could hope for a miracle.
She got the latter in the shape of…
“Stefan” Rachel sighed.
“You don’t sound too happy to see me” Stefan noticed. “I didn’t realize you were so comfy in here. You know what, I’m just going to go, so you can continue making yourself at home”
He started turning around,...

Rachel was sitting at the kitchen table, drinking a cup of tea, to calm herself down a little. Since the events of the previous night she had been very jumpy. She expected Damon Salvatore to show up out of nowhere and rip her heart, just like he’d done with her daughter. So when the bell rang she let out a scream and spilled some tea.
“Mrs. Lindy? I know you’re home” Stefan called from outside. “I just want to talk”
Rachel stood and walked to the door. She opened it.
“Good morning. I’m Stefan Salvatore” Stefan introduced himself politely.
“You’re the vampire that turned...

“Nice dress” a familiar, male and British voice whispered in Caroline’s ear. She startled, but recovered quickly. She tried to spot Damon and Elena, but since they were nowhere to be found, she took a deep breath and turned around.
“What do you want?” she asked sharp.
“Well, first I would like to know why you’re not wearing the dress I sent you” Klaus said.
“You sent? Wait, you gave me the dress with the note?” Caroline asked surprised.
“Of course” Klaus answered. “You didn’t think Tyler has that good of taste, did you?”
“Oh, well, ehm, I couldn’t wear it anyway”...

Stefan and Katherine glared at each other, not sure what to do now, but Damon made it easy for them.
“Get out” he said trembling.
“Damon, I didn’t know” Katherine started. “I swear I didn’t know”
“Just go away, Katherine” Damon said. “You, too, Stefan” he said without looking at his brother.
Stefan vowed his hands and made a step towards Damon. “I really thought you knew. And I really didn’t mean to let it happen. All I know is that Rebekah gave her blood to Elena and that I couldn’t interfere. If I could’ve, I would’ve, you know that” he pleaded.
Katherine looked...

Caroline took her books she needed for the next few classes and closed her locker. Elena leaned against the lockers and looked at her. She saw the red underneath Caroline’s eyes. “Hey, have you been crying?”
Caroline shook her head. “No” she said with a small voice. She swallowed and forced a smile. She sighed and looked at her friend. “No” she repeated a little steadier. “I saw Tyler at the Grill today”
“Oh” Elena blinked. “And how was he? Did he tell you what happened?”
Caroline shook her head again. “Not exactly. He…said it’s none of my business what he does...
