FanFiction.net Question

I'm not trying to get anybody into trouble but I saw this summary on ff and I'm curious is this breaking the rules?

'Help me write the story of what happens between the Doctor and Amy in her bedroom at the end of Flesh and Stone. Smut. Chance to contribute your own ideas.'

(Basically, they're asking people to leave ideas through reviews then they write them down in the fic. Is that okay, to do?)

I'm not trying to be a snitch I'm only curious. I've never seen this done before so is this person breaking any rules?

And they're actually using the suggestions and writing a fic.

Yeah but isn't this the same thing as having a co-author? And there are guidelines for that, right?

I'm not sure. I've seen people commenting what they want to happen in a story in their reviews, and that being taken into account by an author who's mid-writing the story. I think I've also seen collaborative stories. As long as the author is making it clear that the ideas were suggested by others, it ought to be OK, in my opinion anyway. It's not the same as stealing the ideas of others outright. And it's not like the authors own the work normally - it's fan fiction - or they're making money from it.

Probably but tbh I don't really pay attention to the specific rules; you read one site's terms you've read them all. I feel like as long as you aren't spamming, embarrassing other users, or fighting everyone you should be okay.

No, one's complaining, quite the opposite (lol). tbh I thought it was a very creative way to ask for help.

Don't worry I didn't think that you were complaining. :)
