Is it normal for a new comer in fanfiction.net to be unable to post a story right after signing in?

After signing in, I immediately pressed the publish button on the left side but it said that I won't be able to post a story right away because of 2 reasons: I was a new comer and some other reason... Is this normal? When can I start posting my fan fics.?

I don't know anymore how long you will have to wait.

Have you accepted the guidelines? You have to do this every once in a while to keep posting. Just sign in, go to the Publish tab, and then click rules and guidelines. Click the link on the bottom of the page and you should be set!

Yep. It's to prevent spam. At least, that's what it says. You have to wait like 48 hours. (Which sucks. >.<)
