Georgia was always hot and humid, no matter the weather, except for the summer, then it was simply torrid. So when young Solomon Olds was covered in sweat before he even reached school, he wasn’t surprised, but when he saw a lost angel on the curb, then he was shocked. Her hair was sort and bright red, blood red, it hung in strands over bowed head, which dangle above her crouched body on the curb. Obviously, she wasn’t from Georgia, with her black skinny jeans, Nirvana tee, and the black and white flannel tied around her waist, but her black lace up combat boots were appropriate. With a glance a her army green back pack complete with gold skulls, Solomon, deciphered she was on her way to school. “New to Georgia, huh?” he said crouching down a bit



Her head flicked up showing her sweat drenched face and grey eyes glazed over from the scorching heat, “Oh…yeah, kinda easy to tell, isn’t it?”



“Lil bit.’ He smiled, outstretching his hand and pulling her to feet.



She pulled her back pack up to her shoulder “You a native?” she asked nodding her head at his outfit, complete with cameo cargo pants and a white V-neck, which stuck to his sweaty, tan muscular body, he too also wore cargo boots.



“Yup” he said, his accent slightly more highlighted “Been here my whole life, but I’ll leave one day, Georgia’s one of those places that are meant to be left behind.”



She smiled, pushing a sticky strand of crimson hair away from her face, “Well maybe so, because it certainly doesn’t have a good first impression.”



Solomon laughed “Well you better get used to it, the weathers not even at its peak yet.”



She groaned “How exciting. Well anyway, I’m Christy McClain.”



Solomon smiled “Solomon Olds, but you can call me Soul, and don’t forget my name, because one day, I’m goanna be famous.”



Christy smirked “I’m sure you will, but right now can you tell me were Sandy Creek Middle is?”



Soul walked in front of her “Sure thing it’s my destination too.”



“well lead the way my tour guide.”
