Does Natsu love Lucy?

It's not yet known. Natsu is really clueless about love. I think he himself not yet known the meaning of love itself. So far, Natsu get along well with Lucy. And Lucy is important to him. He feel comfortable around Lucy, as he can do anything to her, like sleep in her bed, taking a bath in her bathroom, wear her clothes, etc. He care for Lucy very much, as he protected her, uproots one entire Sakura tree just for her, keep her maid outfit in his house, etc.
But someday, maybe when he get a little grown up, and after he get through so many times and moments with her, I think he will realize "different feelings" for Lucy. Not as a friend. And he will be confused by it.

For Lucy, in the beginning, she easily blushing when a guy tell her 'something sweet', just like when she blush by Loke in Loke arc, the writer in the fated meeting, and Gray (Gemini) in Oracion Seis arc. It's natural, cause Lucy is a girl who never date any guy before. And why I support and love Nalu more than anyone else? Because Mashima-sensei made their moments so many, so simple, yet so sweet. More than other couples. Example, Lucy is blushing just because Natsu thanked her. How's that thing not special? <3 As the story go further, include the special chapters on the manga, Nalu hints keep appearing, which make me sure that she has a crush on Natsu. Mashima-sensei always make the two of them together. And they have a special relationship. Not just relationship between 'friends'. Also, in the interview with Sorcerer Magazine, both Natsu and Lucy said they have the best relationship with each other.

So, for the question does Natsu love Lucy, I would say the answer is 'not yet'. But someday, I'm sure Mashima-sensei will make him understand what is love, and realized his 'different, special feelings' for Lucy as 'love'. And someday, the answer of this question will become 'yes' <3

I'm sure no one has said this yet, and it irritates me. But Hiro-sama himself said in a Barcelona Interview, that Natsu and Lucy will have a child named Nashi! This is totally a yes to this answer. Natsu may not know it yet, since he's like a man-child, but if this means anything, it means Natsu does or will eventually love Lucy! You can't deny a child given by the mangaka himself!

Okay, I've been doing lots of research on fairy tail, and apparently Natsu and Lucy do love each other, I know this because during on of Mashimas interviews he stated that Natsu and Lucy would end up getting married and having a child. He said Natsu and Lucy would give birth to a girl named Nashi, Nashi is actually also the name of Mashimas daughter. I'm not gonna go as far as to say they are cannon, but Mashima has said that they will be cannon in the futer. So to all the Nali fans, I'm sorry but the truth is Mashima also said he didn't want to bring Lissana back, but the producers convinced him to bring her back for her brother and sister, NOT for Natsu. Nali will not become cannon. And if you are a NALU fan, you can squeal and Fangirl all you want :)

As happy would say;"He love's her." But through out the entire series he has put his life on the line for her. He obviously cares very deeply for her, but his personality and actions will hinder him from admitting his love for her. In time Natsu, in time.

well i personally think thats the authors intention..because if you think about it,lucy is quite a bit like lisanna.and since shes dead..lucy would kinda bring the connection from natsu and lisanna back to natsu in a way,becuz shes so much like lisanna,if u kno what i mean.i also think that they are protective of erza more because shes a main part of their group and theyve known her longer.but in my opinion i think lucy and natsu have some sort of connection,maybe just friends now but maybe more later.

Natsu and Lucy have a special relationship that show that they are ethier very good friends or they like each other. My resherch shows that in 3 catogories: cannon, simi cannon, and freindship Lucy and Nastu are a simi cannon. So my answer is Natsu has feelings for Lucy, but he dosent realize it and thinks of it as being very good friends, and the same for Lucy.

Lucy and Natsu may have a relasionhip later because the director stated that they will end up haveing a child named nashi and nashi is named after her daughter. In other words NaLu has a possibal future but NaLi dosent. it's maybe....coz natsu and lucy are so close to each other....and they have most moments of all the love teams out there! maybe i am a GrayZa fan but i am a NaLu fan (but my answere is not fo NaLu) natsu don't want to hurt Lucy.... so the his other comrades too...but the best of all natsu and lucy moments is.... When Lucy fell in love with some fake salamander and the heart broke when she saw Natsu and lucy treat natsu and happy for a lunch and Natsu ate all of the foods in the table....i know Lucy never date a guy before... but for me... Natsu definitely cares a whole lot about Lucy, seeing as he isn't afraid to die for her, He cried when he thought lucy had left the guild and he becomes really berserk and rage when someone hurts lucy or makes her cry. But he does that too when his comrades get hurt but with lucy its just more enotional i guess. And plus he there were moments when he comforts her like in a sweet way like after eclaires death. What im getting at is Natsu definitley does love lucy but i dont think they would be romanticaly involve just because it will be very awkward for me to see Natsu acting lovey dovey around lucy and Lucy acting all sweet to Natsu and not kicking him out of her house and yelling at him for being an idiot. Okay, do you guys remember that wedding dress scene? I forgot which episode, but it was the one which Mirajane was fighting Jenny with the model competition during the Grand Magic Game.
When everyone dressed up you could see that it was hinting at the love between each of them. For example, Jet and Droy asked Levi to be their partner, but she wanted Gajeel. Now we all know that she loved him (see after the closing credits at the end of the episode where Natsu, Gajeel, Sting and Rogue were fighting where she states 'and the one I love') and this scene shows that too.
Also the Juvia, Gray and Lyon thing.
So in Lucy's case, Loke/Loki/Leo appeared and tried to take her. And for Natsu, Lisanna asked him to be her date and gets 'rejected-ish'. As well as that, Lucy falls down and lands on Natsu, both blushing as well. (At least I think they were.)
So in conclusion, NaLi and NaLu fans should live harmoniously. Jokes.
Actually, this probably means that Lisanna and Natsu probably liked each other a lot and perhaps, for Lisanna, unrequited-ly. In fact, had there not been Lucy, Natsu would have ended up with Lisanna, but there is a Lucy and they both have feelings for each other.
In the end, it is just a friggging anime, so calm down everyone and await eagerly for the next episode.

Well, I would personally say no. Because i have the same kind of relationship with people of the opposite gender like Natsu does with Erza and Lucy. We're really close, but there are no feeling of love between us :P So... Yeah, Its going on the sorta kinda iffy path :P

In my point of view Lucy has confused feelings for Natsu, Natsu makes her blush easily. But Natsu in his view takes love in a puzzled way, his first approach with love was how Lisanna treated him. As you saw/watched Natsu and Lisanna acted like a husband and wife when Happy was a egg. Natsu developed a small crush as Happy slowly developed. A bond between them was like a family.

Lucy on the other hand is known to Natsu as 'Must Protect' since, if you can remember, they are bonded by a team. All of them developing a stronger bond for each other, Natsu does not understand the way Lucy acts sometimes, as Lucy attempts to get Natsu to have a same view as her.

But all I see is a bond, a bond like a true friend. I don't see Natsu's love approaches with Lucy, I can't see love in Natsu's eyes, he is a person who is hardcore with his team. He protects his team no matter what, even at the price of his life he'll protect the ones close to him.

Sure he blushes, but a 'blush' is not straight away love. In fact a blush can also be a small embaressment, small bond or maybe a blush of passion. He may have blushed because Lucy may have shared gratitude for him.

Hug, why yes. Lucy was the one who approached a hug first. So that was not Natsu. He may have hugged back, but a hug yet again is also showing comfort.

I'm sorry NaLu fans, I do not see any Love in Natsu's eyes. Until he approaches Lucy with a loving bond, then you will see it.

Well it is possible that they like each other or just one . However there are still more don't forget about Lisanna , but however in the manga and amine I've seen so far theres always a lead female and lead male ( lucy and natsu ) usualy fall in love such as Inuyasha and Kagome from Inuyasha considering they hated each at first but they became merried to each other in the end by their own will .

I'm pretty sure the whole Lisanna thing is getting us ( yes you too ) to go " ooo but theres Lucy what will happen to the girl he didn't choose ?" To het it juicy and addicting coz as soon as he fell in love with her really quick we would all go " boring ".

Well this was a situation I had with an ex-girlfriend we were cute together but she was lost in her own world and not ready to love she didn't mature enough. This is the same story with Natsu don't get me wrong, I love the idea of NaLu, I think they are cute more perfect, but he isn't ready her he is more focused on his own world but eventually I think Natsu will end up with Lucy without a doubt that is if "Someday his luck doesn't run out." I think he might end up dying possibility would make a great ending for a great hero honestly.

I believe Natsu does like Lucy, because he is always happier when she is around. The whole Fairy Tail basically knows it, and Lucy is slowly realizing it. Natsu and Lucy are always ending up together on a mission. And Natsu hates when they aren't partners on a mission. Natsu isn't really afraid to make Lucy feel better, like you think he would. But yeah, I think he does.

natsu probably doesn't realizes this yet but he totally loves her because no body go though such lengths for a person even if fairy tail friendship much stronger than other guilds but most people is clam we some bad stuff happens with Lucy (unless she's injured) but natsu cant come down it even seems like he might go a little cray cray and do bad stuff(you know what) but natsu has a long way to go during that journey their will just keep growing! ~im rooting for you natsu,you go booooooy!

We all have fantasies of who we ship but the truth is we don't know even if we have a bucket full of evidence. As some people said, it depends all on the author and even though Mashima might have drawn more Natsu and Lucy then others or the other way around, it doesn't really prove that the shippings are correct. We might have many NaLu moments but in the end its NaLi? It's hard to discuss if Natsu does love Lucy because at the end of the day we NaLu fans might be disappointed (not to ruin your day or anything) or happy ^^. Many of us are waiting hard to find out if Natsu does love Lucy and so am I! This is just my opinion so I'm not trying to say you should stop discussing or anything else. Have a nice day c:

She is the type of a girl who falls in love so easilly...(no hard feelings please) someday, if another hero comes that is far better than natsu, she will leave him with a broken heart... natsu cant trust this person...

While on the other hand, erza, has a heart of a true maiden... She loves unconditionally and probably a girl whom you can spend the rest of your life...she is perfect for natsu... Urmm, I think not. The way Natsu and Lissana act towards each other is much stronger if you ask me. I know that both Lucy and Lissana like Natsu but we still dont know who he will pick. But honestly looking at all the popularity the makers will probably go with Lucy because the fans prefer it and the only reason she was introduced was to become close to Natsu. Lucy has a high chance of having a crush on Natsu because on episode 50 "Look out for the one you love" after Mira suspects Natsu liking Lucy she begins acting nervous around him and the title also gives a hint that she does in fact like him. Now and then Natsu shows some kindness towards Lucy and he may think of her as a "Replacement for Lisanna" but as he gets to know her more he may of realised that they're nothing alike and may grow some feelings for her. Plus after they return from Edolas you'd suspect that Natsu would be overjoyed but really he couldn't care less because he either has grown use to Lucy and is relaxed around her, is over Lisanna or he loves Lucy.

Well Lucy loves Natsu cuz she had those weird dreams of him being 'hunky' and them as a couple, plus she always cries or something when Natsu gets hurt. I would have to say yes. Here's an easy way to remember it first. (hair color to food) Ok, for a smoothie... Would you rather drink a strawberry banana smoothie or a strawberry and a coconut smoothie? Strawberry banana for me 'cause it tastes delicious and sweet. Kinda like how Natsu always wants to be there to protect Lucy. Both way sweet. Now, I'm going to stop talking about the food. There have been many Nalu scenes in the show. Yes, 'Ms. Captain Obvious', but what else? Well, the creator, Hiro Mashima, created the movie Fairy Tail Phoenix Priestess, and it had huge Nalu moments. For example, the hug scene that just makes us Nalu fans want to scream. Also, in the credits of that movie Natsu looked towards Lucy and she smiled. Then... Well, we have Fairy Tail 2014 where OMFG I can't even describe. It had so many Nalu moments in JUST the beginning. Then that brings me back to episode 1 of the first season. Have you noticed that when Lucy saw Natsu the spell broke? Hm hm hm... Sounds like a real Fairy Tale only the Princess goes with the Dragon. Lol. Now, I don't want to name ALL the moments that they had together, but here's the point where we're all going to start fangirling and fanboying over...!!! The creator, Hiro Mashima, has said in an interview that most likely if they were to have a kid the child's name would be Nashi. You're free to search it up.

Throughout both the anime series and the manga series, there are many signs that Lucy could potentially have feelings for Natsu or have a crush on him at the least. Natsu, I personally believe, does not know how he feels about Lucy yet. He appears to be very comfortable around her, since he barges into her apartment and changes into her clothes, takes a bath in her bathtub, and sleeps in her bed. It is very difficult to tell if Natsu has feelings for Lucy, because he treats everyone in the guild like family and believes he must protect everyone from harm. For the time being, Natsu does not love anyone, (I don't think he knows what he feels for Lucy just quite yet) but I definitely hope that by the end of the anime series Hiro Mashima will add a part where Natsu realizes what love is. ◕‿↼ Until then, Hiro Mashima will just give us NaLu and NaLi moments. (I am personally a NaLu shipper mainly because there are many cute moments between Natsu and Lucy that make you say "Aww!! ◕‿◕", but that is just my opinion. NaLi is cute too, especially in the episode that shows Natsu and Lisanna as kids. (｡◕‿‿◕｡)

I sure hope so. I think eventually when he grows up a little (mentally) but still kind of goofy, (that's what makes him funny) he will realize/fall in love with Lucy. So before I start I will state that what I will say will determine Nalu in general, with proof, and not whether Natsu loves her or not yet. First of all, Natsu is quite dense at the moment so I think he will need more time until he discovers what "Love" even in first. So one bit of evidence I'll give is right at the beginning, episode 1 "The Fairy Tail" would be a better example to explain it in rather than using the manga. So of course we had the "Fake Salamander", blah blah blah you know the story. :P When Lucy first saw "Salamander", she was instantly put under a charm which made her feel like she "fell in love with him". However, the charm wasn't broke when Natsu interfered by itself. (Note, how the other girls were still effected by the charm even when Natsu interrupted the scene.) But later on the manga, a guildmate states that only the intervention of a SOULMATE *Squeals in distance* ( :3 ) can break the charm. Not only that, but in an interview Mashima stated that Lucy will have a child named Nashi with Natsu, (Which is the name of his daughter by the way, but in another one he stated that he will change the name but that's not the main thing I'm speaking about now :3). I mean, can it get even more canon? Also, (Whilst keeping Natsu's denseness in mind, [//sighs]), there's a manga side-chapter where Asuka [The cutiepie she is <3} asks if Lucy and Natsu kiss implying that they're dating just like her parents, and Natsu actually goes to kiss Lucy stating "Well, it's not like we're gonna die". And spoilers for that chapter... >>> Lucy makes him kiss Happy instead <<< ;-;'
Then again, I don't believe Natsu completely understood back then.
Also a little something about when Fairy Tail ends (In quite a long time, don't worry!) but in yet another interview, Mashima states that he wants Fairy Tail to have a happy ending unlike his other work, called "Rave Master" which has quite a rather sad ending.

Sorry Nali shippers. I respect your ships, but I'm afraid that from what I've read and what the creator (Hiro Mashima) has said himself, that Nalu will win this round. A lot of people have probably already pointed this fact out, but I will go ahead and repeat it. So as some know, Hiro Mashima was in an interview. He actually said that Natsu and Lucy may get married and have a kid. They would name this kid after his kid aka; Nashi. So I guess this would have them be categorized as cannon, but that's not 100% confirmed. People can think that Natsu any Lucy love each other, but all I can say is that Natsu and Lucy's relationship is very strong. As you know, Natsu protects Lucy an awful lot and barges into her house, but did you see him do that to anyone else? No. No offence to anyone, but I am not really a NaLi shipper due to me having some issues with their relationship. I just feel that Natsu and Lisanna have a very awkward way of bonding and their personalities are very different ( which could be a good thing in some cases I guess ) which makes it hard to ship for me. Other people may be against that which I am fine with because everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have also noticed that Lucy and Natsu are really worried about each other during times of need. For example, Natsu hugged Lucy to comfort her when Eclair disappeared in the Fairy Tail movie ( someone may have the link to watch it, I currently do not. ) This can prove that Natsu has some sort of feelings towards Lucy. Also, Natsu has slept in Lucy's bed and pulled a tree out of the ground just so Lucy could see it due to her sickness getting in the way of her being there to see it with everyone else. This proves that Natsu cares about her feelings. Natsu and Lucy also help each other a lot. ALSO, Natsu as you can tell ( hopefully ) doesn't really understand how love feels. I mean, him and his childish actions and his background doesn't really help him understand it either, but I think eventually Natsu will understand love along with his many other feelings that he doesn't understand. One last thing, you can tell Natsu at least has some type of feelings towards Lucy by the things he says. For example, in episode whatever when Future Lucy 'dies' Natsu get's angry and says, "I won't let anyone take away Lucy's future!" and blah blah blah. Also, when Fairy Tail is in Edolas, ( Forget yet again, what episode ) I am pretty sure Lucy was going to be executed for her actions. When Natsu found this out, he got furious and threatened the guards that he would kill them if they laid a finger on Lucy. And with that, I should also add how their relationship is full of love, passion, and most importantly, trust. This can easily be supported with something almost everyone remembers ( hopefully )... Lucy jumping out of that building putting her life on the line, but trusting Natsu enough to be there and catch her. And guess what, Natsu showed up and caught her just as she thought he would, so this proves the trustful bond they have with one another. And last of all, the way Natsu acts around Lucy is far different than how he acts around anyone else.

A relationship sparked straight away ((well after all the your weird, gross things)).They formed a team, and became the best of friends. But you can see lucy later in the manga/anime ((yes I watch and read both)), starting to blush a little when natsu goes around her. There have been rumors about them one day having a baby called Nashi which people are saying is a definite. To be honest Hiro Mashima (the creator of fairy tail) never said would do it, it was just a answer for a possibility. The proof is from his interview in Barcelona:

Reporter: 'We'd like to know, in the hypothetical case in which Natsu and Lucy ended together, have you thought any time of the names for their children?'

Hiro Mashima: 'I don't know what to say, I have never thought about it (laughter). But, without a doubt, it would be Nashi (nothing).'

Also 'hypothetical case' means assuming (if.) If you dont understand then here is the definition from the dictionary:

hypothetical case:

assumed by hypothesis; supposed: a hypothetical case. 2. of, pertaining to, involving, or characterized by hypothesis.

They never mentioned there being a relationship at all in a romantic way, he shows clearly in his interview that it was an 'what if' moment. Which also shows he did not mean to make his viewers instantly think of the romantic type relationship between Natsu and Lucy.

Although i'm an stong Nalu fan i cant see Hiro Mashima making it as an real deal. But we can say for sure if it will be a romantic relationship or not, since he never revealed anything. Besides a true writer/drawer like him would know not to reveal the plot!

I think natsu dose like lucy. I wouldn't say "love" yet. Because they are teammates and friends. Him and lisanna did have a childhood thing going on but since she came back he hasn't really talked to her. But is always with lucy. For me it could go either way(: and since lucy and him are "main characters" they might end up but who knows.

By the way, has anyone noticed the Gale hint in the "Ah eel eh eee!" Background music? It says "Gajeel Levy!" If you listen closely!

During the key of the starry heavens arc after the whole clock destroyed lucy came flying and is fall among the stars, mean while natsu asks where lucy is while on a octopus and runs after her. Lucyś eyes are closed but once she opens them who does she see running after her falling, rolling on the ground, but getting back up and continues to run? erza? Virgo? Mira? Elfman? No! It was natsu, he leaped forward and caught her and broke her fall, but still wore a big smile. When Lucy´s spirits turned on her, and hisui started to take the change back keys Lucy wanted to take loki´s, and natsu gave lucy a reason why she should not go after natsu. Well as much as i would love to go on i have to end it here but yes NALU NEEDS TO HAPPEN. Also, this I got directly from their site on facebook, but the color of their emblem is suppose to correlate to their ownership. Lucy's is pink so, hers is Natsu; Natsu's is red so, his is Erza; and Erza's is blue, so hers is Jellal. It kind of fits a pattern. Although, they all may not be couples they do have feeling for each other. Lucy has feelings for Natsu, like Erza has feeling for Jellal, but the guys might not be ready yet. Lucy has a crush on Natsu for sure, At the moment we can't say the same for Natsu. But it is true that they had plenty of children. Nashi and her siblings are all different but they are their kids. Natsu is not very good at love, He's not quite sure what to think of it.
