Kris and SM Entertainment reported to enter court-referred mediation

Kris and SM Entertainment are reported to enter into mediation, opening up a last chance to reach a mutual agreement before they take on a legal battle.

According to media outlets, on the 11th, the Seoul Central District Court referred the case to mediation to encourage the two parties to communicate. This will likely be the last chance that the two sides may be able to work things out with one another before they enter into their formal legal battle.

This news has left fans wondering if a compromise could come about between Kris and SM Entertainment. If the two come to an agreement, then this situation could be wrapped up sooner than expected. However, if the two parties are unable to reach an agreement, then they will head into trials.

What exactly was it that Kris wanted that he was not getting with SMent???

I hope they would compromise because I can see that it\'s the best for both parties. Just come up with terms without any conflicts and revise the contract. But with Kris coming back to EXO, I agree to other comments in here that there will be some "awkwardness" at first, but with years of being together, I hope they could resolve this and start anew. After all they have been treating each other as brothers so maybe as the time comes, they relationship will be the way it was back then. Though not totally, I think. Oh well, we never know.

I wish them all the best. Though I\'m not Kris-biased. I really miss them altogether. The feels are not the same as they were when I first became an EXO stan. But ofcourse, I won\'t keep any hopes to avoid disappointments and devastation.

I was really sock when I knew about Kris\' and SME problem. I still wonder untill now. I will surport Kris decision. He wanna stay or leave up to him. I still love Kris and EXO. Here, again, is what JYJ\'s lawyer said about the issue:

JYJ\'s previous lawyer Im Sang Hyuk and his comments: "It\'s both not good for the agency nor the member to drag this out, so the possibility of them settling is high… The court also encourages the two sides to settle in matters like this… If in the case that they decide to settle, Kris would probably be given a new contract that is different from the other members."

So let\'s just hope for the best for Kris whatever he wants and be there for him through this process and after whatever is decided.

If Kris and SM happened to reach an agreement in which Kris does stay in EXO, it would be so freaking awkward for the other members. They probably wouldn\'t see Kris the same way anymore, they probably wouldn\'t be able to fully trust him ever again and it just wouldn\'t be the same. I love EXO and Kris but I don\'t know if Kris coming back into EXO will be the best idea, there will definitely be some drama between the members. We never know though, anything could happen. 

Doubt they\'ll come up with a mutual agreement. If they haven\'t patched things up \'til now, a few extra days won\'t lead up to anything. Even if Kris were to come back to EXO, I think the members as well as fans, could never fully trust him again. Well, Wu fan - good luck in the future. 

I hope I\'m wrong but I don\'t think Kris have a chance to come back to Exo now, even if he comebacks, Exo will be kind of awkward,SM will be like how Kara treats Nicole too.Just hope for a happy ending for both!

I just want this resolved either oppa is staying or going I respect his decision and I wish him the best I just hope SM learns from there mistake and this will be the last law suit but I doubt that anyway I hope they can come to a compromise but I think the problem might be money tho cause how they spent so much money on training him an all that but kris dude just pay them off ... Anyways hope all this ends well and kris goes on to follow his dreams whatever they are to me he will always be galaxy boy! Quick breakdown of the EXO drama: - Kris, real name Yi Fan, used to be an EXO member (EXO-M leader) // - He filed lawsuit a week before EXO\'s first concert and during their Overdose promotions // - Hasn\'t been back in Korea since then, staying in China // - There were rumours of his health/heart conditions worsening as a result of over-work (cannot be confirmed so up to you to believe it or not) // - The other EXO members unfollowed Yi Fan on Instagram // - This lead to even more rumours that the other EXO members are somehow being controlled or punished by SMent (again, cannot be confirmed. up to you to believe or not) // - Then it was revealed that Yi Fan was intending to file his lawsuit back in April but because of the ferry ship accident in Korea he delayed it // - Even more rumours that Yi Fan was being denied acting opportunities by SMent. Still more speculatons that he wanted to do acting in the first place and not be an idol // - Now this news comes out.

If SM and Kris come to an agreement, I doubt things will go back to normal. Exo has gone through enough. For all we know, they\'ve probably accepted that they will be 11 from now on. Remember, people, Kris left them. His choice, his problem.

What I\'m super confused about is Kris\'s actions regarding his career. He\'s always said that he\'s interested in acting but he also said that music is first. He would even post instagram videos of him making music and dancing along. He would always sing and rap and be happy. It also looked like his members really didn\'t know or had a clue he was going through troubles because they were so surprised. To be honest, I feel like it wasn\'t Kris who decided to file lawsuit himself, but rather a third party (let\'s say his mom or maybe financial issues) that is forcing him to do this because using acting (let\'s be real it\'s not health issues) as an excuse and filing SM doesn\'t really make sense…. It seems almost too simple and too childish to cause such a huge uproar

I don\'t think people understand when they say they want Kris back with EXO, the situations gotten out of hand and it\'s best if they go their own way. Kris wants to do acting, so he can do so when the contracts terminated, and EXO has established an OT11. Although there will always be a bit of Kris missing no matter what, EXO right now has overcome the solo concerts and finish promotions as 11, and it would just be extremely awkward if Kris came back because of the feelings in the beginning of the situation. I think SM has given the chance for Kris to respond, and maybe it\'s his legal representation who told him not to respond, however I hope this ends soon so they can both move on from these. I hope Kris stans still support EXO OT11 though and Kris as well, as I and EXOstans will support Kris in the future. I just hope everything goes alright and everyone in the situation can take this as a building block to a better future. EXO, Kris, SM hwaiting!

However, i don\'t think that it is a good chance for Kris to go back to China to continue his career like Han Geng who was a member in SUJU. There are some reaons. And the most important is although EXO is very popular all around the world and I know that there are amounts of fans of Kris, but, the number of fans cannot support Kris to be popular to the extent that just like he was in EXO for the reason that there was only two years for him to be a singer and an idol. Han has been in SUJU for about five years. His number of fans and popularity can make him to be a actor in CHina even in Hollywood. I believe in Kris\'s ability in singing, acting and even dancing. I also believe that if Kris go back to CHina, he can still be very successful, but i don\'t think it is a good opportunity for now. This is only my opinions, if you don\'t like ,please ignore me. I treat EXO just like my close friends. I love them very much. And ,in the end, i want to say that I am Chinese, maybe some expressions and words that i used are not very accurate. //^~^//

@EXO-12-forever It\'s okay, I agree. I also don\'t think it\'s a good opportunity to go right away to a chinese agency cause it can cause a mess with fans wondering what his real motivations were. I think he does have the fan base to start acting in china, I\'m not very sure about Hollywood because that\'s really a big step for many asian actors. However yeah I think he could become successful in the future just like EXO will become more successful in the future as well.
