MA I the only person who thinks that Eragon bears a resemblance to star wars (at least the original three?
is it me or does anyone have wierd Lord of the Rings flashes with these books
Should we change the banner and icon to include the fourth book?
unanswered ?s continued: #3 is... Description of Eragons new home any thoughts on these would be great! thanks.
Here are some questions unanswered as of yet, even in the final book which may or may not be answered: 1. Who does Nasuada marry and if noone who will inherit throne 2. a better descripion of new rider upbringings please esp. for dwarf and urgal
Excerpt: 1. Nasuada agrees to lead the varden p.19
17 years after Eragon dethroned Galbatorixs, Ismira had grown. A dwarf rider named Jacob and his dragon Kiro came to the now rebuilt city of carvahall with a green and blue egg. One of the offspring’s of Saphire the Dragon of Eragon. All the kids in carvahall lined up. As Ismira daughter of Roran touched the egg it shook and the shell cracked. A beautiful young green and blue dragon slowly came out. Ismira was overjoyed. She was trying to talk to him when she was given a message. She went home to tell all about it to her parents Sir Roran and, Lady Katrina....
Excerpt: Ismira glanced at her mother, who pushed her forward. "it will never happen," she protested. Roran smiled. "fate has always taken an interest in our family.". Ismira glared at them but allowed herself to be pushed forwards along the other children.
This is ridiculous, she thought to herself as she tried to avoid the mobs sharp elbows. She winced as a particularly sharp extremity jabbed her in the back. With a few curses, Ismira allowed herself to be pushed up onstage with the others.
Excerpt: We last saw Yarron and Delva on the threshold of their training. We now continue the story inside the hall.
The hall was massive, in proportion to Saphira. Dragons and Riders were everywhere. There were even a few unbonded elves. Off the entrance was a large chamber. Saphira led us inside.
This is where you will nest, young Delva, Saphira said. I noticed that Saphira\'s nest was the largest. Inside were multi-colored eggs. She curled around them protectively. Go. I will see out at dinner, little ones, she said.
Excerpt: If you have not yet read Part 1, do so now. If you have not read Inheritance, do so now. This is your last warning.
We last left the new Rider and dragon on the threshold of Daret.
Delva winked at me. I noticed the playfuul gleam in her ruby eye. She laughed, a rough coughing sound.
Daret is safe for us, she said between chuckles. I was only jesting. You need not look like my lunch.
After she said that, I lightened up. Delva was fun to be around, most of the time. I could hardly wait to meet Eragon.
I grew up in Therinsford, which was the only other village in Palancar Valley, aside from the famed Carvahall of legend. I\'d heard about the incredible things that had happened there. I grew up hearing the names of battles and the heros of such. At the forefront of all the stories was Eragon Shadeslayer. Since we both were of the valley, I decided to try my luck at an egg.
The egg was brought by a surly dwarf Rider astride a silver dragon. It was red and nearly the same height as me. There weren\'t many others in line, but I worried that the egg would choose one of...
Excerpt: I am currently reading the Inheritance Cycle for the fifth time. I am on the third book that is out right now which is called Brisingr. I really like the Inheritance Cycle because I like books about magic, dragons, elves, and dwarves. There are three books so far in the series and they are: Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr.
The first book in the series starts off with a farm boy who hunts for him, his cousin Roran, and his uncle Garrow. The farm boy, whose name is Eragon, is in for a big surprise. While Eragon is off hunting there is an explosion and a large stone appears...
From the first time I saw the movie I had no idea about the book behind it. Definitely will read them have a great day.
Reason the Inheritance Cycle is worth reading = Murtagh!
maybe u dont know but murtagh only did what he did because he was forced to submit to galbatorix as he tortured thorn and because of their link murtagh submited after which his true name was revealed but in the end murtagh helps kill galbatorix
