I ran straight across the clearing. But I had to stop myself, I didnt want to kill anyone else. I had already done a lot of damage. I pushed and pushed and pushed, and I finally got control of my body. I was at the edge of the clearing almost stepping into the forest, and I turned around. I stood still It looked like everyone was waiting for me. I was breathing hard trying to fight Jane off. I was okay, but only for the time being. Then Rosalie walked out of the line the rest of the family was in, to approach me.



Edward quickly walked behind her to be backup. Which is what I needed so, thank god. She was two feet away from me now, and was slowly getting closer.

"You can fight her off Emmett," She said trying to be calm," please try. I just want you back to normal." she frowned

"He's trying," Edward said," Jane's face is fading in and out of his mind. I dont think he can hold her off much longer."

I rested my head on her shoulder, fighting off the pain, and Jane. I was whimpering slightly and Rose got worried.

"Fight her off Emmett, please!" Rose yelled.

I couldnt hold her off anymore. I bolted towards the cinnamon smell again.
"Jasper, Carlisle! Help me out!" Edward yelled.

Finally the man was in full view. He was pale with white hair, probably around the age of sixty. And he looked like he was camping. He had a backpack and a flashlight.


I was about 5 feet away from him, and I sprang through the air, landing on top of him. I immediatley bit him and he screamed. Almost right after I was slammed against a tree by Jasper and Edward. Esme, Rose, and Alice went over to the man to help him, and suck the venom out.

"We have to knock him out!" Jasper said
" Can we? Is it possible?" Edward asked, looking at Carlisle.
" Well, he's not necessarily him so, I think it's possible." Carlisle shrugged. He was standing in front of me.
" Okay, then do it!" Jasper yelled again, becoming impatient.

Carlisle ran up to me, and looked me in the eye. He had a sorry expression on his face, he frowned, puched me in the face.

Then once again, everythig went black.




I woke up in Edward's room. I was surprised I was able to be knocked out, and for so long. It's even light outside.I feel better, in a sense, but not normal. I actually feel slightly weaker.


It's been a couple days, and I feel like crap. Im able to sleep,drink, and use the bathroom. Which, shouldnt be possible. Im starting to get worried, I havent been able to do this in decades. So, I have to confront Carlisle about it. When I was about to go down the stairs I stopped because I heard a conversation downstairs.

"Do you hear that?" Esme asked
" Mhmm," Alice nodded," It sounds like a heart."
" But there's not a human here...is there?" Edward asked.
" Well, there shouldnt be." Jasper replied.
" It's coming from upstairs." Alice said.
" But the only one upstairs is...Emmett." Rosalie replied.

I felt my heart. It was beating. Something is seriously wrong. But im dead right? Well...undead. So, how is my heart beating? Those are all questions I hope Carlisle can answer.

I started stepping down the stairs," Uh, Carlisle I think it's me."
" But how?"
" I have no idea," I replied," ever sice that day that I attacked that man, i've been feeling,...weaker."
" Well, yor not as pale as usual," he said studying me," has anything else changed?" he asked.
" Um, I had to use the bathroom, and i've been hungry, and eating , human food. And i've been able to sleep." I didnt tell the family this was happening because at the time, I didnt think much of it.
" Is it possible? Is her really turning into a....h-human?" Rose asked, turning to Carlisle.
Carlisle frowned," I think that Jane is killing you," he said to me," by making you weaker, and she's going to find a way to kill you off," he sighed," And at the rate you are progressing, I think you may have a week left," he frowned," two weeks at the most." he looked at everyone.

I couldnt speak. I'm going to die, In just a couple of weeks? I cant believe it. I was supposed to live forever. This wasnt part of the deal.

Rosalie immediatley ran over to me. She was crying her tearless cry, and hugged me. Then I started crying, and a tear fell down my face, and then more tears after that. When I started, I couldnt stop.

I dint want to leave her. We were supposed to be together for the rest of our lives. I didnt want to leave my family either. Now, I absolutley hate Jane. More than hate itself.






After a coupe days I started to get really depressed. I would just sit in my room, and do nothing. Everyone offered to do stuff with me. But I just wanted to be alone. There was no point to living anymore. For me anyway. Everyone was woking day and night for a cure, but never found anything.

So I decidedto kill myslef before Jane could. A quick one though. So I wouldnt feel as much pain as Jane was going to put me through.

I'm going to the same cliff that esme jumped off of, outside of town. And since Jane is still in my mind, Edward couldnt read it. I'll just say im getting something to eat, and then do the job. I headed downstairs.

"Where are you going?" she asked as I was walking past.
" Umm...nowhere. Just getting a snack." I said.
" Okay," she nodded," be back soon." she smiled. She looked kind of suspicious of me.

I proceeded out of the door. I got in my car, and drove to the cliff. I knew that Alice would see me jumping in a vision soon, so I had to make it quick.

I walked to the top of the clif in the cold. It was snowing, and I was walking in about 10 inches of snow. When I got there, I was going to jump right away, but I decided to reminisce.

All of a sudden, I heard footsteps, and then Rosalie's voice. Crap. Now this is going to be even harder.
