Carlisle POV

My wife had been up there with Rose for a while…I was getting nervous, either she was really getting thru to Rosalie or things were going terribly wrong.

My suspicions were answered when Edward entered the house. “That,” he said with a small smile and pointed upstairs, “was deep.” He finished.

I gave him a look that meant to say, can you explain, but I was met by my wife descending the stairwell.

I could see she was distraught and upset. Edward left without another word, so me and Esme were alone.

Esme POV

I led Rosalie to her bed and sat her down on it, letting go of her. I took a spot next to her and held her hand.

I rubbed her hand and occasionally wiped tears from her cheeks. Rose’s sobs slowed and her unnecessary breathing returned close to normal.

She looked up at me through her lashes, “I’m sorry…” she whispered, I could tell she was ashamed and embarrassed.

“There is nothing to be sorry for, Rose.” I smiled hoping she would return it. There was no such luck, though.

About 3 hours after I took a shower I heard a knock on the door.

“Come in,” I mumbled to lost in the mans handsome face.

“Hey, Rose,” Carlisle poked his head in the door. He came in the room and stood next to me with his hand on my back. “I brought you some blood.”

“Huh?” I asked just now looking at him.

“I brought you some blood, your eyes are looking a little dark.” He noted handing me the cup of red liquid.

Rosalie’s POV

I was awoken by a sharp ache in my chest. It felt like a knife was going straight through my heart.

I screamed louder than ever before and tears streamed down my face which sent the three angels bolting into my room faster than I could comprehend.

“It will be over soon, Rosalie. It’s almost done, I promise!” The woman stated with sorrow and fear in her voice.
