Not that Harry and Saoirse weren't wicked, he just outshone them and spoiler.

I'm glad he was the one who found the note instead of Mrs. Murdo

I love Harry Treadaway (big fan!). I hope he gets some more big roles from the back of this.

the mayor did NOT get eaten by a giant mole! and he was fat!(no offense)and i sure dont remember anything about a key...and whats with the giant bugs? it totally threw me off course...i wish that they would make one movie that was exactly like the book it was based on so i dont have to be so critical about it!otherwise the movie was ok i like the books a lot better...and they never went into the side of the river wall...that made me mad the whole story was about them finding a way out why couldnt they have kept THAT the same? i was looking forward to it...

XDRoseLuvsHP picked Bill Murray (Mayor of Ember):
I felt like Harry wasn't bitter enough. He wasn't angry at the world like Doon in the book.

It may be the script, but Saorise wasn't happy and peppy enough. She wasn't cheerful and hopeful like the books.

^For the most part, I agree with the post above me.

Lina didn't seem quite as happy, which might just be because of the plot that showed up in the movie, that apparently we all missed in the books, of the former generation trying to escape and- getting off topic.
*Deep breath*
Doon, I felt, was the wrong kind of angry. I thought they made him plenty angry, but it wasn't in the right way.
