I think they will be something romantic, because they are so many clues to it. Elijah explaining himself to Elena. He didnt have to do that and both of them looking at the window at the same time. I think she needs a break from the whole Stefan and Damon love triangle. Dont get me wrong I love Stefan and Damon. But I think she needs a break from them. I really do think that Elijah and Elena should be together.

I mean, the writers are totally concentrating on Stefan and Elena and Damon and Elena. They won't really give Elihah and Elena a chance, but I also don't think they'd last. Elijah doesn't seem like the kind to go steady.

I think this, because Elena needs someone (who isn't a Salvatore) and she needs to be protective and Elijah's strong and kind. Whe he and Elena're together, he doesn't want to hurt her and in 2x11 they made a deal when he said he'll protect her and her friends. He really likes her and in my opinion the writesr'll find out the real chemistry between these two.

At the moment? No it wont happen cuz of the writers focusing on Stelena and Delena...so when and how they're gonna bring these two together...i think it would start of mending their broken friendship first i.e. with Elena lying to ELijah in 3x14...and working together and bringing up some home truths and sharing something about themselves...they need to be closer friends before they become an item (if they ever do) but defiantly the writers should delve deeper and continue their friendship if they EVER do bring Elijah back :)
