The novella's story will take us to Maroc of 80th. After her mother's death, Jade (Giovanna Antonelli), a muslim young girl, who spent all her life in Brazil, moves to unfamiliar country, where her uncle Ali lives (Stenio Garcia). The young girl hardly adopts to the new lifestyle and culture and in a few of days she finds out that she has to get to know her future husband and marry a man, whom she had never seen before.
The same time the famous brazilian businessman Leonidas Ferras (Reginaldo Faria) comes to Maroc for the holydays with his sons-twins: Diogo and Lucas (Murilo Benicio). Leonidas has an intention to introduce his sons to his new bride: Yvete (Vera Fischer), whom he really wants to marry. His plans are distroyed by his bride herself: arrived before her beloved one, she spent the night with one of his sons - Diogo. There is another one person with all this people from Brazil - a famous scientist genetist Augusto Albieri (Juca de Oliveira), a great uncle Ali's friend since their studying in Oxford University and Lucas and Diogo's Godfather. He brings his godson Lucas to Ali's house and there takes place the first meet of main characters of the novella. Jade dances the belly dance for her new cousins. They look at each other. And soon the sympathy becomes a real love. They begin to date in secret. But their relationship wasn't to be - Jade is going to be married with Said, a muslim man (Dalton Vigh), and Lucas, looking for his father's support, gets a sharp denying. All his attempts to return Jade and save their love are unsuccesful. Everything is over when he goes to Jade's wedding wearing woman's clothes with a veil and he is cought. But this is not everything. Besides his twin-brother Diogo decises by the helicopter crash. Lucas returns to Brazil and begins to date with Diogo's girlfriend Maysa, and during that he starts automatically to copy Diogo's lifestyle. His feelings towards Jade and his romantism he hides deep inside his soul. Soon he gets married already pregnant Maysa. And soon their daughter Mel is born. Al bieri doesn't calm down after his favorite godson Diogo's death and he desides to try to do the cloning Diogo from Lucas' cells. He has a success from the very first try ! His surrogate mother becomes Deusa (Adriana Lessa) - a negro woman, who wants to hjave children and resorts to artificial fertilization. She has no idea that inside her is the very first clon in the world and happy to know that her pregnancy is alright. And Albieri prays that his experiment wouldn't have any success and turn the tragedy. But in 9 months the very first human clon is born. It's a baby-boy, very healthy child, but white one. Albieri tries to hide a little boy from everybody who could recognize in him Lucas and Diogo. He almost took him away from Deusa and tries to educate him just like Diogo, surrounding him with the same toys and training him just like Diogo. He loves him like if he was his own son. He gave him a name Leandro - Leo. Even Albieri's wife starts to be sure that Albieri is his biological father. Jade lives in Maroc with her husband Said, but she constantly think about Lucas. Lucas can't forget her as well.

But this time they have much more obstacles than before: Jade has her own daughter - Kadija (Carla Diaz), who is about 10 yers old and she can't leave her with her father.
