What kind of name is Renesmee?! It sounds like some kind of disease. I know, it's joining Esme's and Renee's names together, but isn't that what mormons do? Albus Severus has a proper emotional meaning to his name. A man who loved Harry as a friend, and a man who loved Harry's mother, Lily more than anything in the entire world. Yeah, it's a little weird, but it's original, but then, so is Renesmee, but Albus Severus is just...y'know.

I don't like Albus Severus either but at least most names in Harry Potter are that way. Renesmee is just so much weirder when paired up with Alice, Jake, Bella, and so on.

Nessie is the worst name in the history of literature. Albus Severus is a heartwarming name after two very honorable wizards and important people in Harry's life. Does anyone think it's strange that Beluga and Sparklypants named their daughter (demon spawn) after the least important people in their lives (their families)?

I agree with boolander25. And I agree with you on who they were named after, IzzyOpera. Albus was named after 2 extremely brave wizards who have done so much to help Harry defeat Voldemort, Renesmee was named after Renee and Esme who didn't do much for Edward and Bella and weren't even there when Renesmee was born. And she was nicknamed after the Loch Ness Monster. Plus, like many others have said, Renesmee does sound kinda' dumb.

Bella is a horrible name giver, so is SMeyer.
