How could they NOT have ever existed? A tale of such a fantastic creature has to have some legitimacy to it, y'know? I mean, if dragons NEVER existed, I don't even think this page would even exist.

I believe that they have existed once but they have been slayed to extinct. I believe that their souls are still somewhere, of course not on the earth but in the other world. If they have souls but why not they wouldn.t have them.

I think they evolved like the house fly or the chicken, smaller creatures of their ancestors. The closest thing to a dragon that might be linked to them is the bat. Only warm blooded flying animal and the wings aren't feathery. Plus only the Ghost Bats drink people's blood, so the breeds are different too. They also might be the Kumori Dragon, but my best guess for proof is furthur study on their genenisis

I am no expert on this but I do think they existed once. I believe they went extinct, I do not believe they live among us now and I think when they did exist they did not breath fire

While I wouldn't say that fire-breathing dragons ever existed, I think it's likely that the fictional species was influenced by reptiles that really do exist (some dinosaurs, sure, but also reptiles that are still around today).
