Dragon Ball Z Question

Is Dragon Ball Z Kai the same thing as Dragon Ball Z?

I use to watch the show on cartoon network and i remember most of the episodes. And i think they just added Kai at the end to make it new.

No. Dragon Ball Z Kai is the remade DBZ with no filler and better picture. However in Kai they did not make the Buu saga and took out blood and Roshi perv moments.

It's not DBZ Kai is basically DBZ with pointless filler cut out. I like it better personally but that's my opinion it has less filler, better dialogue and acting.
