Dragon Ball Z Question

Should I watch Dragon Ball GT?

I'm a big fan of Dragon Ball Z, and I want to watch GT, but I've heard from many fans of DBZ and the original DB that GT isn't as good, and is a bad follow-up. Please give me your honest opinions.
