Cuddy heard a knock at her hotel room door. She knew exactly who it was. She opened the door.
“Go to you room House, it’s late, and we leave early in the morning.”
House stared at her.
“What do you want?”
“You weren’t shocked about that bit of information that Wilson spilt?”
House was talking about a moment an hour ago, when in the hotel bar a very drunk Wilson told Cuddy that House slept with a woman in Mayfield.
“Was I supposed to be? I mean it was a surprise. How you managed to get laid while being a patient in a mental institution is beyond me, but you are a big boy House. You can do whatever you want with your life,” Cuddy sounded a bit bitter.
House tilted his head “There it is again” He looked at her curiously “You seem relieved”
“Why would I be relieved?” Cuddy frowned.
“Because… you slept with someone too… didn’t you?”
Cuddy tensed, but didn’t break eye contact. There was no point in lying to him. “Yes, I did.” She crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe.
They kept quite, not sure of how they were supposed to feel. They didn’t cheat, but it felt awkward.
“So who was it?” House broke the silence.
“I’m not going tell you!”
“That reaction tells me” House pointed at her, “it’s someone I know”
“Don’t worry. It wasn’t Wilson”
“Of course not! Wilson is mine.”
Cuddy raised her eyebrows.
“That didn’t sound right…” House scratched his cheek.
“It sounded gay. Something you want to tell me House?” Cuddy mocked him.
“Hey! Let’s stay on topic. Someone I know, but not from the hospital…”
“I’m not telling you House.”
“Oh, I’m getting closer,” House smirked.
“Good night House.” Cuddy attempt to close the door, but House stop it
“Give just one more clue…”
It was Cuddy turn to smirk “Fine… I’ll just say that if you see the ice cream truck rockin’… don't come a knockin’” Cuddy shut the door.
House was left outside wondering, when it hit him.
“The damn P.I.” House sigh.
‘This just got a whole lot more interesting’ he thought to himself.
